The valve member is movable between a closed position in which the first face thereof, or a valve element associated therewith, closes at least one of the ports and an open position. The valve member defines a first flow passage and a second flow passage, each flow passage communicating with a chamber defined, at least in part, by the second face of the valve member. At least the first flow passage defines or includes a flow director to impart a circumferential or tangential component to the fluid flow therethrough.

摘要： A valve is provided. The valve includes a body provided with fluid passages for circulating fluid therein. The body has a body interface with ports connected to the fluid passages. The valve also includes a valve element having a valve element interface facing the body interface. The valve element can move between different positions so as to permit or obstruct communication between the fluid passages. A biasing element biases the valve element interface against the body interface. A load varying mechanism is provided to load the biasing element with different sealing load forces according to the different positions of the valve element. The sealing load force applied on the rotor is thus decreased during rotation, reducing friction between the valve body and the valve element.

摘要： A system includes a split gate valve with first and second gate sections coupled together and configured to move together within a cavity of the split gate valve between an open position and a closed position. The split gate valve includes a rolling actuator to reduce friction and to convert a rotational input into a linear motion to move the first and second gate sections between the open and closed positions. The split gate valve also includes at least one expansion bar configured to bias the first and second gate sections from one another to seal against opposite seats of the split gate valve, wherein each expansion bar includes a spring mechanism configured to compress upon moving the first and second gate sections into and beyond the closed position to prevent buckling of the expansion bar.

摘要： A pendulum gate valve including an expandable gate which pivots when unexpanded to selectively block a vacuum or other pressure-differential passage. The valve includes a valve plate sealing one side of the passage and a ring or barrier plate abutting an opposed side of the passage when the gate member is expanded. A compression spring biases apart the valve plate and ring to close the valve by means of respective two-stage hangers attached thereto, extending along the spring, and having distal ends capturing the spring. Pneumatic pressure applied to a pneumatic cavity formed between the middles of the two-stage hangers and accommodating the spring forces apart the valve plate and ring to open the valve in the blocking position. Thereby if pressure fails, the valve fails to a sealed state. The axially movable valve or barrier plate is advantageously water cooled to allow use with a heated processing chamber.

The gate valve includes a gate mounted so that it can pivot about an axis between a position in which it shuts off an air passage orifice and a position in which it opens the orifice, and a rotating device for rotating the gate about the axis. The rotating device includes two superposed coaxial rotary members collaborating with one another via cam surfaces designed such that rotating the first rotary member from the shut-off position causes a translational movement of the second rotary member and of the gate along the axis of rotation followed by a rotation of this member and of the gate about this axis.
