    摘要: A heat exchanger pipe in a flow duct for gases. The pipe first section has a second section with an inner pipe for transferring heat transfer medium; an outer pipe that radially encloses a part of the inner pipe; and a medium layer between the outer pipe and the part of the inner pipe. The second section of the heat exchanger pipe bends less than 90 degrees. Furthermore, the first section is insulated in its entirety, or non-insulated in the vicinity of other heat recovery surfaces only. In the device the temperature of the heat transfer medium flowing in the inner pipe is at least 500° C., the temperature of the outer surface of the outer pipe is higher than 600° C., or an auxiliary agent is fed to the thermal device.

    摘要: An integral generator/gasifier system in which a vapor generator is provided that includes an upright furnace section and a plurality of nozzles, each having one end registering with the interior of the furnace section. A gasifier extends adjacent to the furnace section and supports a bed of adsorbent material for the sulfur generated as a result of the gasification of fuel introduced to the gasifier. Air is passed through the bed of adsorbent material to fluidize said material so that, upon gasification of the fuel, a substantially sulfur-free product gas is produced. The other ends of the nozzles communicate with the gasifier so that the product gas passes from the gasifier through the nozzles and into the furnace section for combustion.

    摘要: A fluidized bed combustion system particularly suited for use in a residential or light industrial heating system comprising a fluidized bed combustor housing a combustion chamber wherein fuel is burned to generate hot flue gas, a heat exchanger disposed inside of the combustion chamber, a particulate collector for removing fine particles entrained in the flue gas before the flue gas is vented to the atmosphere, and a fan for supplying air into the combustion chamber. The combustor features an insulated non-adiabatic combustion chamber with a cooling and heat exchange in the combustion zone and in the free-board area above the combustion zone. Electric heating means are disposed within the fluidizing region of the combuston chamber to provide the capability of heating the slumped bed during shut down to maintain bed temperature above the ignition point. The electric heating means is comprised of rod-shaped electrical resistance heating elements of a commercially available type protruding through the distributor plate into the fluidized bed at a specific inclined position. The control circuitry of the heating elements maintains their surface temperature at a level below about 900.degree. C., preferably below about 750.degree. C. The invention increases operation life of the heating elements by reducing their wear due to corrosion and erosion.

    摘要: A fluidized bed boiler is equipped with a plurality of slidable sleeves circumscribing the vapor generator tubes disposed therein. By selectively extending or retracting the sleeves over the tubes, the heat transfer characteristics of the tubes exposed to the heat generated within the boiler may be altered. As a consequence, steam output quantity and quality may be easily modulated. In addition, by virtue of the design, tube cleaning may be accomplished with each adjustment pass.

    摘要: A fluidized bed combustion or gasification unit in which a grate is disposed in a housing to divide the housing into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A bed of particulate material including burning fuel is supported by the grate and extends in the upper chamber. The lower chamber has an inlet for receiving pressurized air for passing through the lower chamber, the grate, and the bed of particulate material to fluidize the particulate material. A cooling device is provided for receiving the particulate material from the bed and cooling same prior to the material being discharged to external equipment.
