A plastic solar deck panel for a swimming pool including a body, a plurality of elongated compartments on the body, adjacent side walls on adjacent compartments, conduits coupling the compartments in series in a serpentine orientation, water inlet and outlet conduits in the body, and spaces between the side walls of adjacent compartments to cause the compartments to give the appearance of side-by-side slats.

摘要： A precast concrete solar collector panel of moldable hardenable material is developed with a serpentine-like passageway disposed in proximity to at least one planar surface of the panel. The passageway serves as a conduit for conveying a fluid to effect a heat transfer intermediate the proximate planar surface of the panel and the fluid rendering the panel useable as a heat collector or as a source of radiant heat, depending upon the relative temperatures between the conveyed fluid and the proximate planar surface. By constructing the panel as a structural member, a plurality of panels can be employed as a roof, exterior building wall, walkway, driveway or fence to receive radiant energy from the sun and transfer the collected heat to the fluid flowing within each of the panels; further panels can be employed as interior walls, ceilings or floors in buildings as sources of radiant heat by passing a heated fluid through the passageways.

摘要： A combination fence and solar heater for swimming pools comprises a fence shaped for extending about the periphery of the pool to restrict ingress and egress therefrom. A tubular heat exchanger is formed in at least one section of the fence, includes an exterior surface adapted to absorb solar energy, and communicates with the water in the swimming pool. The number of heat exchanger fence sections can be varied in accordance with the climate in which the pool is located. A pump flows the water in the swimming pool through the heat exchanger fence sections during daylight hours, thereby simultaneously heating the water in the pool, and providing an attractive and protective safety barrier about the swimming pool.

摘要： A parapet-like component for a building which includes an air plenum. The plenum is a multipurpose structure which allows for transfer of a predetermined amount of heat from the outside into the building. The plenum includes translucent surfaces which allow light to enter the building and concurrently provide insulation against loss of heat from within the building towards the outside. The parapet-like component can be operated reversibly in allowing for cooling of the interior of the building when its temperature exceeds that of the outside.The structure is highly functional and also is aesthetically pleasing, having the general appearance of a mansard.The novel design of the invention allows for and incorporates the use of traditional and widely accepted building and architectural practices and esthetics.In a preferred embodiment, the plenum has an exterior wall of a tinted plastic or glass and a clear inside wall of plastic or glass.The structure is relatively easy to conform to conventional architectural plans.Considerable savings in both heating and lighting costs are achievable by the system without increase in building construction costs.

摘要： An arrangement for exchanging heat between the environment and a heat-transfer fluid, especially a solar heat absorber, includes a plurality of heat exchange elements which are provided with external fins and have internal flow-through passages for the fluid. The heat exchange elements are mounted on and the passages thereof communicate with internal channels of collector pipes. The collector pipes are, in turn, connected by respective corner members to connecting pipes to form a frame therewith. Such a frame, together with the heat exchange elements mounted therein, constitutes a heat-exchanger unit. A plurality of such heat-exchanger units can be arranged next to one another and/or above another in substantially vertical positions, to form an energy fence or a protective wall with heat-exchange capability. Then, the connecting pipes of the individual heat-exchanger units are connected to one another to establish a continuous flow pattern of the heat-transfer fluid through the arrangement. In the protective wall, the heat-exchange elements themselves may provide noise dampening or view obstruction, or additional perforated or noise-absorbing layers may be provided for this purpose.

The vertical grooves form unobstructed, thin, vertical, water chambers fed at the bottom by the pool pump to flow upwardly at no more than 3 psi, and 60-70 gallons per hour for discharge from the top back to the pool.Flexible shower pipes, and hydraulic head pressure relief pipes normally extend upwardly from the fence, the latter to prevent bulge of the low pressure panels. The length of exposed fence is proportionate to pool capacity.
