摘要: A modular thermal transfer emitter configured to be compatible with installation for indoor radiative heating and cooling. For example, modular emitters radiatively and conductively heat and/or cool an interior space in a building using a heat exchanger and tubing through which thermal fluid flows. These modular emitters can be arranged within a suspended ceiling, walls, flooring of a residential and commercial building. A system for exchanging heat from components can include multiple heat exchangers adjacent to the components and one or more pumps connected to the heat exchangers. The pumps can generate water flow that brings the heat to a secondary heat exchanger. Because the modular emitters can have a large area (e.g., spanning a significant percentage of the ceiling or wall) a desired amount of heat transfer can be achieved without requiring a large temperature difference between the thermal fluid and the ambient surroundings.

摘要: The present invention relates to a thermal shell for a building, apt to constitute a multi-layer system formed by three integral elements having, respectively, from the outside towards the inside: an external peripheral wall/casing with the function of thermal insulating wall; an interspace filled with air to be conditioned; an internal wall/casing with the function of heat-radiating wall/casing; comprising: a covering structure (10) positioned around the building (1), or part of said building (1), the covering structure (10) comprising, proceeding from the outside towards the inside of the building (1): a coating (11), an insulating layer (16) and an interspace (12); the interspace (12) containing air and forming a closed and isolated room with respect to the surrounding environment; means (13) of thermal conditioning of the air contained in the interspace, so that the shell defines an internal wall/casing.

摘要: An HVAC duct or utilicore for substantially containing air flowing longitudinally therethrough has at least one wall comprised of a poured high thermal mass material with at least one pipe embedded therein during a pouring process, the at least one pipe for circulating a fluid throughout the at least one wall at a temperature that is different from an ambient temperature of the air flowing through the utilicore, for effecting heat transfer through the at least one wall between the fluid in the at least one conduit and the air flowing through the utilicore. A side wall of an elongate monolithic poured concrete building construction module, having a substantially planar main wall and at least one side wall extending substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis, having a pipe embedded therewithin, may form at least a portion of an element that defines the utilicore. A story-defining structure for a building may comprise a plurality of at least one of such construction modules, each module supported at least two points by a support structure, each module being oriented such that distal ends of the side walls thereof engage the support structure, the at least one side wall and the main wall defining an elongate arch, the modules being juxtaposed in parallel relation to define at least one elongate utilicore between the arches. The support structure may comprise one or more modules employed as substantially horizontal beams or substantially vertical columns or both.

摘要: A modular thermal panel comprising a paver having a top and bottom surface, and a heat exchanger having connected top and bottom panels with channels formed there between for receiving a heat exchange fluid. The top panel of the heat exchanger is coupled to the bottom surface of the thermal mass unit, an insulator panel is coupled to the bottom panel of the heat exchanger, and inlet and outlet tubes are coupled to the heat exchanger for feeding heat exchange fluid to and from the heat exchanger. The size of the heat exchanger is substantially equal to the size of the paver and the edges of the heat exchanger are substantially aligned with the edges of the paver. The heat exchanger is made of thermally transmissive material including polymers, stainless steel, aluminum, or copper and the thermal mass unit is made of a material which includes modular or pre-formed or formed in place concrete, cement, gypsum concrete, or stone.

摘要: The invention consists of an improved heat exchange conduit formed between pre-fabricated building panels and a daylighting section integral within pre-fabricated, structural panels. The daylighting section has the capability to take ceiling air (or air below free-standing arrays) and either return it to the building during heating months, reject the heat, or shunt it for other uses after being warmed through a dual pane glazing assembly with infrared rejection. During summer days, this allows for dramatic reduction in building cooling demand.Heat exchange surfaces within the conduit are thermally tied to the exterior components of the panels to allow heating by solar insolation or cooling to night sky or air. An advanced insulation system adds to thermal performance and sealed insulation cavities prevent moisture degradation of R-Values. Passage through the heat exchange conduit allows for active whole roof solar collection in spring/fall and night cooling capability during summer night operation.
