    摘要: A reflective solar tracking system of the type arranged to reflect light rays from the sun onto a remote solar energy collector is described. The system comprises a reflector mounted on an assembly incorporating a drive mechanism for rotating the reflector about two axes to compensate for altitudinal and azimuthal changes in the position of the sun. A sensor device is adapted to point at the sun and provide control signals to the drive mechanism so that the reflector is moved in response to solar movement such that sunlight is always reflected onto the collector and at the same time the sensor device is moved so as to track the sun.

    摘要: The invention basically includes a movable base which contains a plurality of hyperbolic mirror reflectors having their axis directed upwardly towards an absorber plate and which is directed upon an energy converting unit. The solar energy is absorbed by the unit and is used to heat a gas such as air which is circulated through the unit, with the heat being subsequently stored in a heat absorbing particulate material such as lava rock or the like. Additionally, the movable platform is controlled by a gravity drive (for very low power consumption during operation) and which is in turn controlled by a photoelectric solar detector mechanism. The detector mechanism is so designed that it receives the early rays of light of the sun and signals the control system to commence tracking the sun. This operation continues until the sun sets, at which time a signal is sent to the control system to return the platform to its original position in the east whereby it is available for commencing the tracking of the sun the following day. The heat stored within the rock is transferred to a water system which includes pipes so that the heated water may be used to furnish the necessary heat to the particular structure being serviced.

    摘要: Two pyrheliometers each carry out periodic scanning in a plane at right angles to one of the two perpendicular axes of pivotal displacement of the solar pointer. Each pyrheliometer is associated with means for measuring the angular difference between the direction of the sun projected on the scanning plane and the direction of the pointing axis projected on the same plane and for delivering a pointing error signal which is proportional to the angular difference. The error signal obtained in each scanning plane is applied to a motor for the pivotal displacement of the pointer so that the pointing axis is directed towards the sun when both error signals have been cancelled.

    摘要: A solar collector for use in association with a building, the system having a concave mirror located on the exterior of the building and defining a focal point, a moveable mounting for moving the mirror to aim it directly at the sun at least over a predetermined period of the daylight hours, a secondary reflector located at the focal point of the concave mirror to receive the sun's rays reflected from the mirror means, an opening in the concave mirror to receive a concentrated beam of the sun's rays reflected from the secondary reflector, a third reflector located on the convex side of the concave mirror to receive the concentrated beam of the sun's rays from the secondary reflector reflected through the opening, and to redirect it along a heat storage path, a support connected to the concave mirror to receive the redirected beam, the support passing from the exterior to the interior of the building, an energy conversion system within the building interior to receive the redirected light beam from the mirror and to convert it into useable heat, and, a storage system within the building for storing heat.
