    摘要: The cooling apparatus which is preferably constructed in the form of a grate cooler contains in its material inlet portion a material transfer arrangement with at least two rows lying behind one another of transversely extending air boxes which can be supplied with air and have upper surfaces with air holes. The clear opening width of these air holes (area for the air to pass through) is adjustable, so that all air boxes can be supplied independently of one another with adjustable quantities of air. In this way the streams of cooling air can be adapted to differing local ranges of grain sizes of the clinker on the material transfer arrangement.

The apparatus includes a sampling probe actuatable to divert a sample flow of material from material falling from a kiln. This sample flow on cascading through the apparatus is processed by screening to obtain a flow of sized material having a particle size within a predetermined range. The sized material is collected in a container which collects a measured volume of material. The material in this container is electronically weighed and recorded.

    摘要: A process and an apparatus for recovering heat from a finely to coarsely divided hot material, such as carbide crushed on solidification, which contains particles and lumps of varying sizes. The hot material is separated by a classifier into a portion of lumps and a portion of particles, and the lump portion is cooled in a cooling bunker with a stream of cooling gas while the particulate portion is cooled in another cooling unit with a stream of cooling gas. The hot cooling gas resulting from the cooling is fed to a heat exchanger in which the gas is subjected to heat exchange with a working fluid for a turbine coupled to a power generator or the like. The heat exchanger is connected to the cooling bunker and unit by a closed circulating channel.
