    摘要: A method for covertly creating adverse health effects in a human subject includes generating at least one electromagnetic wave at a frequency within the range of about 300 MHz (megahertz) and about 300 GHz (gigahertz). The at least one electromagnetic energy wave is pulsed at a pulse frequency within a target range of human neural oscillations. At least one ultrasonic audio wave is generated at a frequency greater than about 20 kHz (kilohertz). The at least one audio wave is pulsed at the pulse frequency. Each of the at least one pulsed electromagnetic wave and the at least one ultrasonic audio wave are remotely transmitted to the subject's brain.

    摘要: An embodiment of an apparatus includes a transducer array and a controller that is operable to cause the transducer array to generate a signal having a frequency, and to direct the signal toward an object having a resonant frequency that is approximately equal to the frequency of the signal. For example, an embodiment of a mine-hunting-and-neutralizing apparatus may generate an acoustic wave with a transducer array, and may disable or destroy a mine by directing the wave toward the mine. The apparatus generates the acoustic wave having a frequency that is approximately equal to the natural frequency of a component of the mine such that the wave causes the component to resonate in a manner that is sufficient to disable the mine from detonating, or that is sufficient to cause the mine to detonate. For example, if the component is the detonator, then the wave causes the detonator to resonate at an energy level that is sufficient to render the detonator unable to detonate the mine, or that is sufficient to cause the detonator to detonate the mine.

    摘要: An acoustic weapon comprises a sonic pulse generator configured to generate discrete sonic pulses at a repetition rate. A sensor is configured to measure a range-to-target. A controller is configured to control the sonic pulse generator to generate a single shot including a burst of multiple pulses at a fixed repetition rate, to adjust the fixed repetition rate to shift the frequency content of the burst in accordance with a target coupling efficiency towards improving energy transfer to the target and to adjust the peak pressure of the burst in accordance with the range-to-target towards applying a specified peak pressure to the target. The controller may incorporate the target coupling efficiency as well as other parameters such as target apparent area and beam width when adjusting the weapon peak pressure. A pulse detonation engine (PDE) or pulse manifold (PM) may be modified and controlled to provide the large discrete peak pressures required at a periodic repetition rate.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for magnetically generating an underwater high pressure pulse of sufficient strength to destroy underwater threats utilizes a pair of electrically conductive elements. The electrically conductive elements are arranged substantially parallel with each other and are separated by a gap. A pulse generator supplies an electrical pulse to at least one of the electrically conductive elements, which causes the generation of a magnetic repulsion force between the elements. The magnetic repulsion force causes one the electrically conductive elements to be displaced, thereby inducing a high pressure pulse in the liquid in which the pair of electrically conductive elements is submerged.
