The device comprises a rotor supported by an axle wherein the ends of the axle are supported by a circular race. The circular race is rotatable, and may be driven by a motor or other means, thereby controlling the oscillation rate of the device independently of the output torque arising from the rotation rate of the rotor. The motor may be controlled by a control program that adjusts the rotation rate of the circular race to modify the shape of the resistance curve.

The device comprises a rotor supported by an axle wherein the ends of the axle are supported by a circular race.     摘要: An acceleration-detecting type gyro apparatus of an electrostatic supporting type, in which displacements of a gyro rotor are actively made zero is proposed. The acceleration-detecting type gyro apparatus includes: a gyro case; a gyro rotor which is supported within the gyro case by electrostatic supporting forces such that the gyro rotor is not in contact with the gyro case; electrostatic supporting electrodes for generating the electrostatic supporting forces; a rotor drive system for rotating the gyro rotor around the spin axis at high speed; a displacement-detection system for detecting displacements of the gyro rotor; and a restraining system having a feedback loop for correcting control voltages applied to the electrostatic supporting electrodes so that displacements of the gyro rotor become zero, the gyro rotor is annular-shaped, and the electrostatic supporting electrodes are disposed in a manner of surrounding the gyro rotor.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a gyroscopic instrument comprising concentric containers, the inner container enclosing a rotating electric gyro rotor, magnetic fluid enclosed between the inner and outer concentric containers, and magnetic flux producing means mounted on at least one of the two concentric containers, so that magnetic fluxes reach the magnetic fluid to support the inner container without contacting the outer container. The magnetic flux producing means are preferably mounted and oriented on a line drawn on at least one of the concentric containers at predetermined distances so that magnetic fluxes transmitted from the pole of one flux means reach the opposite pole of an adjacent means by passing through the magnetic fluid.

    摘要: A magnetic bearing assembly for levitating a movable member in either rotation or linear translation comprises a three-loop magnetic circuit in which permanent magnets establish a quiescent or fixed flux across four magnetic gaps arranged to provide restoring forces transverse to the direction of gap flux; the resulting inherent instability in the longitudinal direction is overcome by an electric feedback control system which supplies control currents in a pair of coils associated with the magnetic gaps for modulating the permanent magnetic flux therein and thereby provides stabilizing longitudinal magnetic forces. The configuration may be generalized by simple extension to a (2n + 1) loop magnetic circuit with (n + 1) coils.

    摘要: An improved electrostatic gyro system wherein, for each of the axes of suspension of a rotor, pickoff electronics are responsive to electrode pickoff signals for developing combined mass unbalance modulation (MUM) and servo signals from which a MUM signal reconstruction circuit demodulates and reconstructs only the MUM signal. The reconstructed MUM signal is then subtracted in servo suspension electronics from the combined MUM and servo signals to substantially develop only the servo signal containing only rotor displacement information. This servo signal is then fed to a servo network which does not require a notch filter. The output of the servo network is then developed into force signals to enable an associated pair of plate charge amplifiers to electrostatically suspend the rotor properly between an associated pair of electrodes. In addition, the reconstructed MUM signals are utilized by speed control electronics to develop and add highly accurate and precise speed control signals to the output of the servo network to provide a very precise speed control of the rotor without the use of any notch filter.
