    Abstract: The invention relates to an inertial sensor (1) comprising a substrate extending along a drive excitation direction (x) and a detection direction (y) normal to each other, the device plane being perpendicular to a rotation direction (z), a first drive frame (110) and a second drive frame (120), a first sense frame (210), a second sense frame (220), a sense lever (1000) pivotably mounted around a rotation axis (1001), a sensing system comprising a strain gauge (1600) mechanically stressed by the sense lever it is rotating around the rotation axis. The sense lever includes a central portion (1500), a first arm (1100) and a second arm (1200), the central portion having a dimension along the detection direction called central width, the arms having a dimension along the detection direction called arm width, the central width being at least twice greater than the arm width.

    Abstract: An inertial force sensor may comprise: a base; a first block including an inclined surface that is inclined with respect to a base surface; a second block including an inclined surface that is inclined with respect to the base surface; a third block including an inclined surface that is inclined with respect to the base surface; a fourth block including an inclined surface that is inclined with respect to the base surface; and a connector configured to physically connect the first, second, third, and fourth blocks. In this inertial force sensor, the first and second blocks are aligned along a first direction parallel to the base surface with their inclined surfaces both facing inward or outward, and the third and fourth blocks are aligned along a second direction parallel to the base surface and orthogonal to the first direction with their inclined surfaces both facing inward or outward.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an electrically-driven gyroscope having a housing capable of alternate rotation and a control method thereof, which relate to the field of electrically-driven gyroscopes. The electrically-driven gyroscope includes a rotating housing, an internal rotator, a drive motor composed of an electrical port part and a rotating part, a drive circuit, and a battery. The internal rotator is mechanically connected to the rotating part of the drive motor, and they can coaxially rotate. The electrical port part of the motor, the drive circuit, and the battery are mutually electrically connected, and are all connected inside the rotating housing. The electrical port part and the rotating part of the drive motor rotate with respect to each other under an interaction force. The used drive motor may be an inner rotor motor, an outer rotor motor, or an axial motor Further, during use, the present disclosure does not need to rely on an external force-applying object or the aerodynamic force by means of the disclosed design manner and the alternate control method for the housing, thus realizing autonomous continuous rotation and maintaining an upright alternate rotation posture until the battery is depleted.

    Abstract: Feedback control circuitry includes rate limiter circuitry configured to generate a rate limited position command based on a position command for a controlled component and based on a speed command for the controlled component. The feedback control circuitry also includes error adjustment circuitry configured to apply a control gain to an error signal to generate an adjusted error signal. The error signal is based on position feedback and the rate limited position command, and the position feedback indicates a position of the controlled component. The feedback control circuitry further includes an output terminal configured to output a current command generated based on the adjusted error signal.

    Abstract: A rotor assembly is provided for deployment within a momentum control device including a rotor assembly housing. In one embodiment, the rotor assembly includes a rotor shaft rotatably mounted within the rotor assembly housing, a floating bearing cartridge disposed around a first end portion of the rotor shaft, and a radially-compliant damping member. The radially-compliant damping member is mechanically coupled between the floating bearing cartridge and the rotor assembly housing, as taken along an emitted disturbance path. The radially-compliant damping member reduces the transmission of vibratory forces from the floating bearing cartridge to the rotor assembly housing to reduce emitted disturbances during operation of the momentum control device.

    Abstract: A tuned gyroscope incorporates a dynamic absorber for lessening the transmissibility of resonant vibrations. A damping mass is symmetrical about a rotating element of the gyroscope. A symmetrical arrangement of elastomeric material is utilized to mount the mass to such rotating element. The mass and elastomeric material are so chosen with respect to geometry and material composition that out-of-phase vibrations are induced within the damping apparatus upon the onset of resonant vibrations to minimize the transmissibility of such vibrations with respect to the elements of the tuned gyroscope.
