    摘要: A position detecting device detects the position of a moving body by using first and second detected signals that have voltage values changing in connection with a movement of the moving body. The position detecting device includes a difference computing unit that computes first and second difference values, the first being the difference between a center voltage of the first detected signal and the voltage value of the first detected signal, and the second being the difference between a center voltage of the second detected signal and the voltage value of the second detected signal. A ratio computing unit computes a difference-sum ratio index in accordance with the ratio of the difference value between the absolute values of the first and second difference values and the absolute value of the second difference value to the sum of the absolute values of the first and second difference values.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for the accurate determination optically, of the location at one or more selected positions, of the edge of an incipient ribbon of glass being produced in a metal flotation furnace. A scanning periscopic telescope responsive to infrared rays has its objective end within the furnace adjacent to and above the edge of the ribbon at the selected location. The telescope is mounted for horizontal axial translation in a direction generally transversely of the edge of the ribbon. In normal position the objective is directly over the edge of the ribbon at a location critical to control of the furnace. When for any reason the edge of the ribbon shifts in a direction generally transverse to its direction of motion on the molten metal, the energization of two photoelectric cells incorporated in the telescope, is correspondingly varied. A follow-up motor mechanically connected to axially translate the telescope is thereby correspondingly and uniquely energized to restore the objective to its position directly over the edge of the ribbon. The translation thus effected is repeated at a remote control point or station to thus indicate the exact position of the edge of the ribbon at the critical location, thus enabling precise control of the furance. A number of the instruments may be located at spaced intervals along each edge of the ribbon.

    摘要: A servo-control apparatus for use with equipment having a servo feedback loop, comprising an electrically energized lightemitting means or lamp, a control photosensitive device having an expansive sensing surface exposed to a portion of the light from said light-emitting means, and a movable light-control member disposed in the path of said light to controllably intercept portions thereof and thus produce defined shadowed and illuminated areas on the said sensing surface. A compensating circuit is provided, for maintaining constant the output response of the control photosensitive device for various given fixed positions of the movable light-control member. The compensating circuit includes a second or compensating photosensitive device which is positioned out of the path of light intercepted by the movable member so as to receive continuous light or excitation from the lamp. This circuit further includes an amplifier having its input connected to the compensating photosensitive device and having its output connected to the lamp to thereby control the intensity of the latter. The compensating circuit operates to maintain constant the output response of the control photosensitive device for given fixed positions of the movable member by balancing out changes which would normally occur in said output response due to such things as temperature drift, aging of both the lamp and the control photosensitive device, etc. The compensating circuit also operates to balance out changes in the output response of the control photosensitive device due to variations in the light transmission medium, such as could arise from lens fogging, or the settling of dust or debris on the lamp surface.

    摘要: A photoelectric control structure for a linear transmission device, including a mount, a transmission gear mounted on the mount and coupled to a motor, a photoelectric circuit board mounted on the mount and having a phototransistor and an infrared light emitting diode which controls the phototransistor, a light chopper turned by the transmission gear to intermittently block light from the light emitting diode toward the phototransistor, and a chopper cover fastened to the mount and covering the light chopper and the photoelectric circuit board for protection, wherein when the motor is started, the transmission gear is driven to turn the light chopper, causing light to intermittently pass through to the phototransistor, and therefore the infrared light emitting diode intermittently drives the phototransistor to send a pulse wave signal to the signal input terminal of a satellite antenna allocator.

    摘要: A system for calibrating a rotary table (10) includes an indexing table (20) (which is a Hirth coupling table) and an angular interferometer (100), together with a control (200). The indexing table is mechanically coupled to the rotary table (this being the only connection between the rotary table to be calibrated and the calibration system), and the interferometer is set up to measure rotation of the indexing table. During rotation of the rotary table (10) to a target angle, the control (200) monitors the interferometer reading, and when this reading exceeds a predetermined threshold, actuates a drive motor (240) of the table (20) to counter rotate the table, thereby to maintain the optics (106) of the interferometer in alignment with the laser beams (L2, L3) and thus enable continuous measurement of the position of the indexing table.
