Abstract: A delivery unit 15 is mounted on a vehicle 21 and is used to deliver the articles accommodated in a storage container 33 filled with a cooling gas. The delivery unit 15 includes a thermometer Se1 that measures a temperature in the storage container 33, a memory unit 53 that memorizes therein data of the measured temperature in chronological order, a quality-data generation unit 55a that generates quality data of articles based on temperature data acquired from the memory unit 53, a print-data editing unit 55h that edits print data relating to a quality certificate including a graphic image representing the quality in chronological order of the cooling environment in the storage container 33 accommodating articles therein during delivery based on a serial number of the article and the quality data, and a printer 27 that prints print data relating to the quality certificate on a recording medium.

Abstract: Systems and techniques may be used for real time monitoring of content of a package. An example technique may include receiving sensor data sent from a first wireless telecommunications transmitter of a sensor device inside a package in transit, located together with content in the package, identifying whether the sensor data indicates that the content in the package was subjected to a condition outside of a specified range and receiving a status request for the package sent from a second wireless telecommunications transmitter of a mobile device based on a scanned machine-readable code on or affixed via a label to an outside face of the package. In response to receiving the status request, the technique may include sending an indication for display on the mobile device.

Abstract: A temperature indicator includes a compound comprising an ionic fluid disposed in contact with an absorbent medium at a first location. Detection circuitry is coupled to the absorbent medium at a second location spaced apart from the first location. Communications circuitry is coupled to the detection circuitry and is configured to output a value indicating an actuation state of the temperature indicator indicated by the detection circuitry. Responsive to the temperature indicator being exposed to a temperature exceeding a temperature threshold, the compound migrates along the absorbent medium from the first location toward the second location. The detection circuitry is configured to indicate the actuation state based on a presence of the compound at the second location.

Abstract: Described herein are sensor systems and methods for monitoring a gondola configured to hold harvested produce and be transported by a trailer. The sensor system can include a capacity sensor configured to determine a remaining capacity of the gondola and a temperature sensor configured to monitor at least one of a temperature of the gondola or a temperature of the harvested produce held by the gondola. The sensor system can include a tilt sensor configured to monitor a tilt of the gondola and a trailer location sensor configured to determine a global position of the gondola. The sensor system can include a communication module in communication with the capacity sensor, the temperature sensor, the tilt sensor, and the trailer location sensor and can be configured to transmit data from the capacity sensor, the temperature sensor, the tilt sensor, and the trailer location sensor to a remote computing system.

Abstract: System suitable for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials. In a preferred embodiment, the system may include a cooler made of expanded polystyrene foam. The cooler may include a base and a lid. The base may be a unitary structure that includes a cavity bounded by a bottom wall and four side walls. The base also may include an integral support that may include a platform elevated from the bottom wall, as well as a stanchion extending upwardly from the bottom wall along each of the side walls. The support may be constructed to removably receive a product box in the cavity and to orient the product box at an angle offset from the cavity. Dry ice pellets may be positioned around and under the product box, and additional dry ice pellets may be positioned in a tray mounted on the stanchions over the product box.
