    摘要: Embodiments of methods, apparatuses, and systems for metering a level of a liquid are disclosed. One apparatus includes a float component, wherein the float component includes a sensor and a controller. The sensor senses a parameter usable to determine an inclination of the float component. The controller is operable to receive the sensed parameter, and communicate information based on the sensed parameter to an external controller. When operating to determine a level of a liquid within a container, the apparatus physically contacts the container. Further, at least one of the controller or the external controller is operative to estimate the inclination of the float component based on the sensed parameter, and determine the level of the liquid within the container based on the estimated inclination.

An inlet of the bowl fill valve is coupled to a bowl fill outlet of the fill valve and the outlet of the bowl fill valve is channeled to the toilet bowl. In illustrative embodiment, a method is provided comprising the steps of determining when the toilet tank has been substantially drained of water during a flush cycle, and opening the bowl fill valve for a predefined period of time after the toilet tank has been substantially drained of water to fill the toilet bowl of the toilet with water. The predefined period of time is less than a total time of the flush cycle.

    摘要: A low water cut-off switch assembly features a two-part base assembly having a lower base part and an upper base part. The lower base part is made from a metallic material, configured to be adapted on piping having a fluid flow, and also configured with a central orifice to receive a paddle arm that pivots on an axis in response to the fluid flow in the piping. The upper base part is made from a non-metallic material, configured with a corresponding central orifice to receive the paddle arm, and configured with a channel to receive a pivot arm to mount and allow the paddle arm to pivot on the axis in order to actuate an ON/OFF switch in response to the fluid flow. The non-metallic material of the upper base part has a substantially lower coefficient of heat transfer than the metallic material of the lower base part, so as to substantially reduce condensation build-up in the low water cut-off switch, e.g., especially when the low water cut-off switch is used in applications exposed to temperatures below freezing, including chiller applications.

Operation of the instrument entails positioning the apparatus in the liquid containment vessel from a support chain. Positioning, is accomplished by a course chain adjustment, followed by a fine-threaded-nut adjustment. A float centering itself in a concentric circle sight gauge indicates initial correct monitoring position. Deviation from one of the concentric rings constitutes a liquid level change. Each concentric ring indicates a larger level change relative to the innermost sight ring per unit test time.
