摘要: A method of radar ranging comprises transmitting a digitally-modulated signal comprising successively in time, for each sequence in a plurality N of sequences, a plurality M+1 of repeats of said sequence, wherein each said sequence consists of a plurality Lc of digitally-modulated chips, wherein at least one sequence in the plurality of sequences is different from another sequence in said plurality of sequences; receiving a version of the digitally-modulated signal reflected scattered by one or more physical targets; for each sequence in the plurality of sequences, performing a preliminary target estimation; and using each said preliminary target estimation for all sequences in the plurality of sequences, performing a final target estimation.

摘要: Techniques are provided for dynamic performance enhancement of radio frequency (RF) based systems. A system implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes a waveform decoder configured to perform message decoding operations on a received RF signal waveform and to provide a decoding validation result for the message decoding operations. The system also includes a waveform attribute analyzer configured to analyze physical characteristics of the received RF signal waveform and to provide an attribute validation result for the physical characteristics. The system further includes a statistics analyzer configured to generate a statistic based on the decoding validation results and the attribute validation results and a thresholding system configured to generate anomaly detection based on a comparison of the generated statistic to a threshold value. In some embodiments, the RF signal waveform is an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) transponder waveform or an IFF interrogator waveform.

摘要: A beamforming system and method is disclosed comprising a hybrid multi-measurement unit or process that can encode or embed broadband signals in a low dimensional encoding subspace such as a Slepian subspace. The direction-of-arrival of the plane wave signals, encoded with the low dimensional embedding, can be used to provide a spatially sampled signal to a front-end mixed-signal circuitries substantially reduced hardware for beamforming systems. The beamforming array has a finite array aperture to which a temporal snapshot of the signal can be acquired and then processed as a set of samples from a time-limited bandlimited sequence.

摘要: An active electronically steerable receive antenna may comprise an antenna array that includes multiple receive antenna elements. Reflected radar signals may be received at the receive antenna elements, and received signals may be obtained from the receive antenna elements. The received signals may be processed via at least frequency down-conversion, analog-to-digital conversion, generation of digital signals, and alignment of the received signals or the digital signals for a predetermined angle of incidence. Multiple signals including a sum beamforming signal and a product beamforming may be multiplied to determine a beamformed signal. The sum beamforming signal and the product beamforming signal may be respectively determined by summing or multiplying at least two of the digital signals. The product beamforming signal may be a grating lobe suppression signal that suppresses grating lobes of the sum beamforming signal when multiplied with the sum beamforming signal.

The method further includes, in response to determining that the distance is associated with crosstalk, indicating that the distance is associated with crosstalk.

摘要: A radar system is described that comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter transmits radio signals. The receiver receives interfering signals due to local signal coupling of transmitted signals. The local signal coupling comprises at least one interfering path or mechanism. The receiver is configured to output a replica of each of the interfering signals. Each replica is configured to replicate a particular interfering signal received. The receiver is configured to combine into a signal path a replica of an interfering signal to subtract the interfering signal from the signal path. The receiver receives the transmitted radio signals transmitted by the transmitter and reflected from objects in an environment without saturating the signal path due to the subtraction of the interfering signal from the signal path.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for computer-implemented processing of SAR raw data, which comprises radar echoes from radar pulse. An interference radar echo and an interference pulse are associated with a respective radar pulse, wherein the interference pulse and the respective radar pulse have orthogonal waveforms. SAR raw data are focused by a first focusing on the interference pulses including a range compression and an azimuth compression, to obtain first focused data, where a filtering is used for the range compression of a respective radar pulse, which filtering is matched to the waveform of the associated interference pulse. Thereafter, the first focused data undergo a signal suppression, which at least partially suppresses the interference radar echo, as a result of which second focused data are obtained. These second focused data finally undergo a defocusing including range decompression and azimuth decompression to obtain modified SAR raw data.

摘要: A radar system including a narrowband radar receiver configured to receive pulsed radar return signals and a wideband receiver configured for receiving wideband signals. A noise data processor is configured to identify impulse noises by analyzing wideband signals received by the wideband receiver and a radar processor is configured to cancel the identified impulse noises from pulse signals received by the radar receiver. The wideband impulse noises utilized to cancel noise from the pulse signals corresponds to the same time period sweep of detection as that of the pulse signals.
