    摘要: A humidity sensor of a sensing unit in a radiosonde of an aerological observation system has a dual cap that surrounds the humidity sensor. The dual cap includes an outer cap having a first ventilation hole formed on top thereof, a first air circulation door formed on the side periphery thereof to pass air therethrough, and a first wall formed on the side periphery thereof to close the flow of air. An inner cap is located inside the outer cap in such a manner as to be fixed to the outer cap and has a second air circulation door formed on the side periphery thereof to pass air therethrough. The second air circulation door faces the first wall of the outer cap.

    摘要: A humidity sensor having a housing, a data logger that has such a humidity sensor as well as a evaluation method for the humidity sensor or the data logger. The housing of the humidity sensor has a recess in which a humidity sensor element is situated. To protect the humidity sensor element against the ingress of water, a membrane is provided that covers at least a portion of the recess and thus defines a detection volume around the humidity sensor element. This membrane allows for an exchange of air with the surroundings so that the humidity sensor element is able to detect the air humidity. It is also designed in such a way that it prevents the ingress of water. The detection volume is designed to be as small so that the humidity of the detection volume adapts quickly to the surrounding climate that is to be measured.

    摘要: Colorimetric moisture-indicating compositions comprising a modified moisture-indicating composition comprising (a) a moisture-indicating composition comprising (1) a solid support and (2) a bis(glyoxime)-transition metal complex bound to the solid support, and (b) a modifier comprising at least one hygroscopic salt are described. In some embodiments, the at least one hygroscopic salt is in physical contact with or in fluid communication with the moisture-indicating composition and comprises an anion the group comprising halide, nitrate, acetate, carbonate, and hydroxide; and a cation selected from the group comprising ammonium, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, and a transition metal. These color-imetric moisture-indicating compositions can be used to make a colorimetric relative humidity-indicating sensor. A method of adjusting the colorimetric response of a colorimetric moisture-indicating composition and a method of detecting moisture are also provided. Colorimetric moisture indicating cards comprising the colorimetric moisture-indicating compositions are also provided.
