    摘要: A programmable controller includes a microprocessor which operates in response to machine instructions stored in a read-only memory. A control program comprised of programmable controller-type instructions is stored in a random access memory. These are executed by translating their operation codes into the starting addresses of corresponding sets of machine instructions. In addition, one or more "universal instructions" may be contained in the control program, and when these are read from the random-access memory, they are translated to enable the microprocessor to execute a user defined set of microprocessor machine instructions. These user defined machine instructions may be stored in a read-only memory or they may be stored in the random access memory with the control program. The programmable controller may thus effectively be programmed in two languages, a programmable controller language and a microprocessor machine language.

    摘要: There is provided a programmable controller comprising a standard microprocessor having output address terminals and input/output bi-directional data terminals and means for providing a binary code on the data terminals indicative of the status of the machine cycle to be processed by the microprocessor. This programmable controller includes a logic decoder means for producing a selected signal in response to logic signals on selected address terminals and in the status binary code of the data terminals. In addition, the programmable controller includes means for programming the HOLD state for the microprocessor. There is also provided an arrangement for expanding the number of interrupt conditions which can affect the INTERRUPT state of the microprocessor in the programmable controller.

    摘要: An industrial control system device that can be utilized for drive control, process control and/or logic control and which is comprised of a unique combination of hardware and software. Use of one or more of the devices in an industrial control system application permits the control system to be partitioned into subsystems which communicate with one another and which operate as self-contained units. Each subsystem can be further subdivided into modules that have distinct operating functions. The software utilized by the control system device separates the required operating functions of the control system into distinct tasks that operate concurrently (multi-tasking) on a priority level basis while sharing system data and control signals. Three programming languages (BASIC, Control Block, Ladder Logic) are employed so that the most appropriate language can be utilized for each task. Processors can be added to the industrial control system to permit the movement of a task from processor to processor (multi-processing) without reprogramming.
