Abstract:
Provided herein are system, method, and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof for seamlessly adding and removing form fields from a form. A form engine may receive a request to generate a form. The form engine may render a screen to populate the form with form fields and organize the form fields by sections. Form fields may be added to a selected section by toggling a button corresponding to a given form field, from unselected to selected. Form fields may be removed from any given section by toggling a button corresponding to a given form field from selected to unselected.
Abstract:
A motion system for allowing a person to cause a desired motion operation to be performed, comprising a network, a motion machine, a speech to text converter, a message protocol generator, an instant message receiver, and a motion services system. The motion machine is capable of performing motion operations. The speech to text converter generates a digital representation of a spoken motion message spoken by the person. The message protocol generator generates a digital motion command based on the digital representation of the spoken motion message and causes the digital motion command to be transmitted over the network. The instant message receiver receives the digital motion command. The motion services system causes the motion machine to perform the desired motion operation based on the digital motion command received by the instant message receiver.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a programming template for developing an application program that is configured to be executed in a manner distributed over two or more programmable logic controllers. The programming template includes two or more programmable modules configured to be integrated into the application program and executed on a respective associated programmable logic controller. At least one first programmable module has an associated first programmable logic controller, and at least one second programmable module has an associated second programmable logic controller. The programming template comprises a logical communication link between the at least one first and the at least one second programmable module for the purpose of coordination of the at least one first and the at least one second programmable module across control systems.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for configuring process, environmental, industrial and other control systems generate and/or utilize models representing configurations of control systems and/or the systems controlled by them. Records of changes to the models or the configurations represented by them are maintained, thereby, for example, providing bases for determining current states, prior states and histories of changes. Objects in the model have characteristics, such as an object type characteristic and an area characteristic. Users can have corresponding permissions. A security mechanism apparatus controls access by users to the objects. Composite objects are defined by definition objects and are displayed in encapsulated or expanded formats. Objects can include an edit control type identifier that determines how they are presented for editing. Functionality responds to user commands by transferring characteristics of a first object depicted by the graphical user interface to a second object. Configuration-time formulas contained objects are evaluated to constants prior to downloading to the control system.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to a process control unit for controlling a process wherein the controller utilizes hardware and modular software to accomplish the control. The modular software for interfacing the process with the user allows the user to utilize predefined software interfaces with a human machine interface. A user need only define the text and parameters to be displayed and then map them to a specific element of the human machine interface therein expediting process parameter modification at a later time.

Abstract:
An apparatus includes a memory capable of storing information defining multiple function block types. A combination of instances of one or more function block types is capable of implementing a control process in a controller within a process control system. The apparatus also includes a function block editor capable of allowing a user to dynamically create or modify one or more of the function block types using a graphical user interface. The function block editor is capable of allowing the user to define one or more parameters for a function block type being created or modified.
Abstract:
An operator interface within a process plant includes an execution engine that implements process flow modules made up of interconnected smart process objects that are aware of devices and other entities within the plant and that can perform methods to detect conditions within the plant, especially on a system-level basis. The smart process objects include a display element to be displayed to the operator, data storage for storing data pertaining to and/or received from an associated entity within a plant, inputs and outputs for communicating with other smart process objects and methods that may be executed on the stored and received data to detect plant conditions, including system-level conditions, such as leaks, errors and other conditions. Process flow modules, which may be made up of numerous interconnected smart process objects, may also include flow algorithms associated therewith to calculate mass balances, flows, etc. for the process elements within the process flow modules.
Abstract:
A motion system comprising a processing device, a media source, a motion device, a display, and a software program. The media source, motion device, and display are all in communication with the controller. The software program runs on the processing device and generates an interface comprising a play list and a play button. The play list contains a list of script items, where each script item contains motion data for operating the motion device to perform a desired movement sequence. The play button causes the software program to transfer a selected script item from the play list to the motion device to cause the motion device to perform the desired movement sequence.
