A controller may receive, from one or more sensor devices of the work machine, sensor data of an environment that includes a ground surface on which the work machine is located. The controller may determine whether a wireless connection is viable. The controller may selectively transmit the sensor data to one or more remote computing devices for processing or processing the sensor data locally by the work machine based on whether the wireless connection is viable. When the wireless connection is viable, the sensor data is transmitted to the one or more remote computing devices to cause the one or more remote computing devices to process the sensor data to provide first processed data. When the wireless connection is not viable, the sensor data is processed locally by the work machine to generate second processed data.

A method and system that incorporates spaying logic onto the sensor(s) adapted to detect and apply various liquids onto the feet of an animal. The sensor(s) actuate(s) specific valve(s) for application of the medicinal fluid. The operational components for initiating the spray treatment are located away from the treatment zone to protect the components from failures due to environmental conditions in that location. The application of the medicinal fluids can be enhanced by administering them to specific animals by tagging the animals that require more frequent or stronger treatments.

After setting up a secure communication link from the device to the automation system via the public network, an endpoint of the communication link in the remote device is assigned a network address and the software processes of the operating and monitoring software and/or configuration software relevant for a communication via the public network are started. The data packets sent by the operating and monitoring software and/or configuration software for operating, monitoring and/or configuring the automation system are diverted to the network address by the control software.

One aspect related to design of systems and methods for manufacturing products that include technology in skilled areas is configuring a production station for use by an operator without specialized skills. The present invention contemplates an approach to designing a station configurable to perform one or more of incoming inspection, assembly, testing, and branding. A preferred approach includes verifying data associated with units prior to accepting them for incorporation, preventing incorporation of an incorrect unit, and guiding an operator in possible remedial action. This approach includes storing data in a server and making such data substantially instantly accessible to production stations once written in the server. Such data preferably includes software to configure the production station such that the operator need not have specialized skills. A production station designed using this approach is particularly useful in the manufacture of an outdoor unit of a split-mount microwave radio system.

The maintenance support device included in the plant monitor and control device selects temporary setting target logic element among logic elements contained in a control logic data, generates a temporary setting target logic element data, and generates a temporary setting logic element parameter data in accordance with a value of logic element parameter inputted by an operator. The control device memorizes the temporary setting target logic element data sent from the maintenance support device as the temporary setting target logic element data, and also the logic element parameter data before the temporary setting corresponding to the logic element designated by the temporary setting target logic element data among the logic element parameter data. Then, the control device renews the logic element parameter data located in the saving area with use of the temporary setting logic element parameter data sent from the maintenance support device.
