    摘要: There is provided a method for controlling a shape measuring apparatus which continues to perform nominal scanning measurement to a workpiece having a slightly large deviation from a design data. A scanning path to move a stylus tip is calculated based on design data of a workpiece. The stylus tip is moved along the scanning path. It is monitored whether a distance between the scanning path and an actual workpiece is excessive. When the distance between the scanning path and the actual workpiece is excessive, a trajectory difference error is generated. When the trajectory difference error is generated, geometric correction is performed to the design data so that the design data approaches to the actual workpiece. Scanning measurement is performed based on the design data after the geometric correction.

    摘要: Systems and methods for generating a coordinate transformation are disclosed. The system can include a non-destructive imaging (NDI) device for detecting the location of local surface and subsurface features in an object (e.g., an aircraft). The system can compare the location of these local features to the location of features from engineering drawings (e.g., CAD files) to generate a coordinate transformation from a machine coordinate system, for example, to an absolute coordinate system. The system can then accurately locate a work piece to perform repairs or replacements, as necessary. The system can also include a robotic arm to enable repairs to be performed at reduced cost and with increased accuracy. The system can also compare two or more NDI scans to locate or relocate a machine that has been moved. This can enable the machine to be repositioned for repairs, maintenance, or to perform a two part repair.

    摘要: A method of optimizing measurement paths analyzes one or more measurement points for each of the measurement elements of a product and generates relation arrays, each of the relation arrays storing the name and the one or more measurement points of one measurement element. The method selects a measurement point which is the nearest to the origin of an coordinate system of the product, computes distances between the measurement points from the selected measurement point using the relation arrays, and orders the measurement points according to the computed distances to generate a first ordered array. The method generates an optimal measurement path according to the first ordered array.

The probe pin includes probe shafts having respective ends to which probe balls are attached. At least one probe shaft is determined for measuring a geometric element on a workpiece by determining at least one characteristic piece of directional information for the points to be measured of a geometric element to be measured on the workpiece, either on the basis of the measured measuring points or according to predefined nominal data of the geometric element. At least one probe shaft for measuring the measuring points is determined from the directional information.
