    摘要: The present invention is a cut-off unit with constant chip volume cutting for machine tools. The cut-off unit maintains a constant chip volume during cutting, which stabilizes friction between the blade of the cutting disk, the teeth of the cutting disk and the chips in between the teeth. In this manner, the working life of the blade and the speed metal bars at the cut-off unit can be controlled for extending the working life of the blade and for increasing the efficiency of time required for cutting or shearing at the cut-off unit. Advancement speed of the cut-off unit, which is guided by a logic-control unit, is continuously and regularly adapted, to keep the volume of chip cut away and accumulated in each gap between the teeth of the blade constant. When cutting a bar, the advancement speed will be higher at the beginning and at the end of the cut, and lower in the central part.

    摘要: In a method for scraping off automatically an excessive portion of a workpiece by a cutting tool, a surface shape of the excessive portion of the workpiece is measured, a cross-sectional area variation of the excessive portion along a feed course in which the cutting tool will proceed during a cutting operation thereof is calculated from the measured surface shape of the excessive portion, and the excessive portion is scraped off in the feed course with a feed speed of the cutting tool which is changed in accordance with the calculated cross-sectional area variation of the excessive portion along the feed course, so that the larger the calculated cross-sectional area of the excessive portion is, the smaller the feed speed of the cutting tool is, and the smaller the calculated cross-sectional area of the excessive portion is, the larger the feed speed of the cutting tool is.

    摘要: A lathe is provided with a stepless cutter feeding mechanism for cutting a workpiece at a constant linear cutting speed. The lathe includes a cutter seat that carries a cutter for cutting the workpiece and a motor for driving a main shaft that carries the workpiece. The stepless cutter feeding mechanism comprises a speed sensing device connected to the cutter for sensing linear cutting speed of the cutter. A governor device is connected to the speed sensing device and electrically connected to the motor for changing rotational speed of the motor in response to a linear cutter feeding speed of the cutter such that the cutter cuts the workpiece at a constant linear cutting speed.
