    摘要： A thermostatic element includes an elongated cap, containing a material expandable and contractible as a function of the direction of variation of its temperature. A piston moveable in the longitudinal direction of the cap is coupled to the expandable and contractible material so as to be displaced in opposite directions, depending on whether the material expands or contracts. The side wall of the cap has flats or depressions around the cap and which extend in the longitudinal direction of the cap and which delimit an inner space. The cross section of the inner space, the length over which the flats or depressions extend, has a lobed shape, and an insert accommodated and fixed in the cap extends in the longitudinal direction of the latter.

    摘要： A cold therapy unit incorporates a cold reservoir containing a cold treatment fluid, typically water with ice and a treatment pad with an inlet line and an outlet line. A thermo-mechanical mixing valve receives treatment fluid from the reservoir and warmer fluid from the pad in a ratio that results in treatment fluid of the desired temperature. A pump delivers that treatment fluid to the inlet line on the pad. A portion of the treatment fluid exiting the pad through an outlet line will return to the reservoir and a portion to the mixing valve as required to maintain a predetermined temperature in the mixing valve.

    摘要： The present invention provides a mixing faucet that can use a low-cost temperature sensing spring. A mixing faucet (1) includes a casing (2) having a hot water inlet opening (24), a cold water inlet opening (23), and an outlet opening (28); a control valve element (3) slidably mounted in the casing (2) and capable of switching between any one of a cold water discharge state, a mixed water discharge state, and a hot water discharge state; a temperature adjusting screw (7) rotatably disposed at one end in the casing (2); a slider (6) sliding in the casing (2) through rotation of the temperature adjusting screw (7); a bias spring (5) disposed in the casing (2), between the control valve element (3) and the slider (6), and biasing the control valve element (3) toward the cold water inlet opening (23); a temperature sensing spring (4) which biases, in the casing (2), the control valve element (3) toward the hot water inlet opening (24), and the elastic force of which changes in accordance with changes in the temperature of hot water flowing in the casing (2); and a pull-up spring (10) for biasing the control valve element (3) toward the hot water inlet opening (24) in the cold water discharge state and in the mixed water discharge state.

    摘要： A thermoscopic unit such as for use in a thermostat of a fluid mixing valve comprising a hollow body in which a cylindrical convoluted bellows unit is located and sealed to the body to define an expansion chamber in which a thermally responsive material, such as wax, is contained. Temperature changes resulting in a change of volume of the material in the expansion chamber apply an external pressure to change the axial length of the bellows unit, and this may be operably connected to an actuator for a valve assembly. Preferably, there is a reservoir of the material constituted by a tubular coil encircling the hollow body, or a hollow cone extending therefrom. Such reservoir is filled with the material and is in communication with the expansion chamber and provides additional heat transfer surfaces to give fast response to temperature changes.
