    Abstract: A lid assembly for a beverage container, comprising a lid body adapted for detachably coupled to the beverage container, the lid body having a drink orifice and a gas vent, each being sealable to block fluid communication with the beverage container; a first sealing mechanism configured for sealing and unsealing the gas vent; a second sealing mechanism configured for sealing and unsealing the drink orifice; an actuator for actuating and de-actuating the first and second sealing mechanisms. The actuator is configured for sequentially actuating the first and the second sealing mechanisms, causing the gas vent to unseal as a result of an initial actuation of the actuator, and subsequently causing the drink orifice to unseal as a result of a further actuation of the actuator.

    Abstract: An aseptic closure assembly for a fluid container that includes a cap connectable to an opening of the fluid container and a fluid dispenser connectable to an outer surface of the housing of the cap. The fluid dispenser includes a main body and fluid lines provided within the main body, a shell housing provided around the main body, and an insert connectable to a second end of the main body. The main body includes apertures nearer the second end that are connected to the fluid lines and configured to be in fluid communication with the fluid container when the fluid dispenser is connected to the cap. The fluid dispenser is configured such that a downward directed force towards the fluid container fits the insert into the support of the cavity and disconnects the insert from the main body of the fluid dispenser to seal the fluid container.

    Abstract: A removable vented lid comprising a top, a base, and a convex annular side wall. An annular mounting portion with an inner lip and an overlapping outer lip engage a rim of a cup. An outer lip flares outward from the cup extending from than the inner lip for assisting the user in aligning the lid with the cup. A removable vented lid including an annular side wall extends upwardly from amounting portion of the lid. A top wall extends across a top of the vented lid having a generally circular periphery. An opening is formed in the lid adjacent to a periphery of the top wall. A first baffle extends downward from an underside of the top wall centered with the opening and inset from the annular side wall having a base disposed radially inward of a far side of the opening. A first baffle and opposing second baffle are arced concentrically with the annular side wall and flares radially outward at an angle overlapping a selected effective area of the opening and extends a distance no greater than the length of the annular side wall.

    Abstract: A container closure includes a base member, a cover member and a gasket. The base member is configured for attachment to an associated liquid container and includes abase wall having drinking and venting openings. The cover member is removably connected to the base member and includes a cover wall having drinking and venting apertures in selective registry with the respective drinking and venting openings. The gasket is interposed between the base member and the cover member and has an upper surface facing the cover member. The upper surface integrally defines a first seal member surrounding the drinking aperture and a second seal member surrounding the venting aperture. Each of the first seal member and the second seal member is substantially frustoconical shaped and is adapted to flex outwardly into engagement with the cover member in response to an increase in pressure within the associated container.
