摘要： A locking clamp for use in a cable system for stretching a sheet across a surface and maintaining it under tension, the locking clamp having a base member defining a first grasping surface; an elongate tongue member rotatively coupled to a first portion of the base member and defining a second grasping surface, and a locking member that is rotatively coupled to a second portion of the base member and that is configured to selectively rotate the tongue member to urge at least a portion of the second grasping surface of the tongue member into engageable contact with the first grasping surface of the base member. The base member of the locking clamp also has a hook configured to removably engage a cable of a tensioning system.

摘要： An apparatus for installing an advertising sign is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a support structure; a lifting system fixed to the support structure; a top rail supported on the lifting system such that the top rail can be raised and lowered between a lowered mounting position and a raised display position; and a bottom rail fixed to the support structure. The lifting system comprises a cord operable to raise the top rail to the upper display position. The top rail comprises a longitudinally extending channel adapted to engage a top periphery of an advertising sign, and the bottom rail comprises a longitudinally extending channel adapted to engage a bottom periphery of an advertising sign. A method for installing an advertising sign is also disclosed. A system and a method of retaining a flexible sheet are also disclosed.

The wire support comprises a plurality of wires with each of the wires having a lower section, an intermediate section and an upper section. The plurality of wires are twisted along the intermediate sections for providing an upright support. The lower sections of the plurality of wires extend outwardly from the upright support for insertion into the base surface to mount the wire support. The upper section of the plurality of wires extends outwardly from the upright support for engaging with the object to support the object relative to the base surface.

A cord is provided that is secured to the first end wall element and extends through the plurality of pulleys carried by the upper bar and wall elements.

摘要： A structure of steel cable fastener is provided for eliminating a returning force caused by twisting stress induced in a steel cable when the steel cable is stretched and fixed by the fastener, which induces a stress due to fixing of a fixing end of the steel cable. Such a returning force makes the operation and adjustment of mounting a locking cap to the steel cable difficult and also induces damage and wear of a fixing end of the steel cable due to twisting stress induced in the steel cable. The structure of the steel cable fastener includes a bearing retainer that carries a bearing device and arranged inside the locking cap to secure an end of the steel cable and a resilient element arranged between the bearing retainer and the locking cap for relief of twisting stress induced in the steel cable through the rotation of the bearing device.

摘要： The present invention relates to a guide and tensioning system for a billboard, comprising a facing area surrounded by trim pieces. The trim pieces each comprise a back plate, a side plate and a front plate. Guide groups may be located at various locations along the outside edge of the back plate. The guide groups may comprise an arced guide located between two tab guides or a keeper tab may be centered over the arced guide. The guide group may also comprise a clip that selectively secures to the arced guide. The clip has a complimentary shape to the arced guide and to a gap in the back plate. Hook-like structures on the clip selectively engage with the end edge portions of the arced guide. When engaged with the arced guide, the clip preferably prevents a cable member from falling behind the back plate.

摘要： A clip for use in a cable system for stretching a sheet across a surface and maintaining it under tension, the clip comprising a base plate and a top plate. The base plate has a pair of opposing retaining arms extending from the top surface and a recessed area defined in the base plate. The top plate has a hook protruding from the top surface having a channel defined therein. The top plate slides between the arms of the base plate and is removably retained therein and the plates engage the edge of a sheet. The hook removably engages a cable and the sheet is stretched when the cable is tensioned. The clip can be retained on the cable when a sheet is to be replaced by partially separating the two plates.
