    摘要: A system 100, for determining the velocity of a hammer 120 of a keyboard instrument, with a light transceiver 140 and processing circuitry 160. The light transceiver 140 being configured to transmit a light signal to a hammer 120 to measure a hammer velocity, receive a reflected light signal from the hammer 120 indicative of the velocity of the hammer 120 and send an electrical signal to the processing circuitry 160, where the electrical signal is based on the reflected light signal from the hammer 120. The processing circuitry 160 being configured to receive and process the electrical signal so that a time interval between the electrical signal passing through a first trigger point and a second trigger point and the velocity of the hammer 120 can be determined.

A timbre of musical tones to be generated is determined based on the calculated roll angle.

    摘要: For at least one music piece, a storage section stores tone data of each of a plurality of fragments segmented from the music piece and stores a first descriptor indicative of a musical character of each of the fragments in association with the fragment. Descriptor generation section receives input data based on operation by a user and generates a second descriptor, indicative of a musical character, on the basis of the received input data. Determination section determines similarity between the second descriptor and the first descriptor of each of the fragments. Selection section selects the tone data of at least one fragment on the basis of a result of the similarity determination by the determination section. On the basis of the tone data of the selected at least one fragment, a data generation section generates tone data to be outputted.

    摘要: A sound generation device is composed of a main unit and a game cartridge storing a sound generation program. The game cartridge includes an XY-axes acceleration sensor for detecting a tilt in two respective directions of a game device housing. When a button of the main unit is pressed, a CPU of in the main unit reads waveform data corresponding to one syllable in lyrics from human voice sound waveform data stored in a program ROM, changes a frequency and an amplitude of the waveform data in accordance with the obtained amounts of tilts in two directions, and outputs the processed waveform data from a loudspeaker as a sound. Thus, it is possible to provide a sound generation device capable of outputting a sound by changing its pitch and volume.

    摘要: In a musical instrument having one or more tone generators in which a plurality of data words corresponding to the amplitudes of a corresponding number of evenly spaced points defining the waveform of one cycle of a musical signal are transferred sequentially from a note register to a digital-to-analog converter in repetitive cycles at a rate proportional to the pitch of the tone being generated, apparatus is provided for producing tones having independent time-varying harmonic components. A recursive algorithm is implemented which approximates prespecified harmonic-time curves by piecewise segments of exponential functions. Only a small number of stored curve parameters are required to generate the harmonic-time scale factor for a set of harmonic coefficients.

    摘要: An electronic musical instrument is of a type wherein musical tone waveforms are stored in a memory as their sampled amplitudes and sequentially and repetitively read out to constitute tone waveforms. A key depression brings forth key code in a digital representation. This key code is used for reading out frequency information from a frequency information memory. The frequency information is accumulated to make an address signal for reading out the waveform memory.When a key is depressed, a counter starts counting and opens a gate for a predetermined period of time. The gate passes a code representative of an interval of a grace note with respect to the note of the depressed key (i.e. principal note) to an addition and subtraction circuit for addition or subtraction between the key code and the code representative of the interval for the grace note. Accordingly, the key code is modified and the desired grace tone is produced. Upon completion of the operation of the counter, this modification of the key code is stopped and the key code is restored to the original key code resulting in production of the principal tone. In the foregoing manner, a grace tone preceding the principal tone can be played simply by depressing a single key.The counter is also arranged to start the counting operation upon release of the depressed key with a result that a grace tone following the principal tone can be played. Further, ornamentation called "trill" can also be produced by alternately and repetitively opening and closing the gate by means of the output of the counter.
