    摘要: Provided is a low-weight, high-efficiency inductor design for use with or in electrical power equipment, such as inverters. A toroidal power inductor includes a support structure comprising an outer shell, an inner shell, and one or more coolant channels formed therebetween, a plurality of conductors wrapped around and supported by an exterior surface of the outer shell, and an interior cavity substantially enclosed by the inner shell of the toroidal support structure. The plurality of conductors are configured to provide an inductance for the toroidal power inductor, and the one or more coolant channels are distributed beneath the exterior surface of the outer shell to cool the plurality of conductors. An air-core power inductor may implement the conductors using high-temperature superconducting (HTS) tapes cooled by cryogenic fluid flowing within the coolant channels.

The switch circuit interrupts a current when receiving an output from the voltmeter, the current being one that is to be supplied to the superconducting coil.

    摘要: A superconducting magnet device includes a superconducting coil, a radiation shield, a refrigeration unit, a vacuum case, an electrode member, and a conductive member. The vacuum case includes a case body housing the superconducting coil and a surrounding cover that surrounds the refrigeration unit. The conductive member includes a contact portion having a sleeve-shaped outer circumferential face and thermally contactable with an inner face of the surrounding cover via an insulating material. The surrounding cover includes a heat radiating part including at least a surface of a portion of the surrounding cover overlapping the contact portion in a radial direction of the surrounding cover. Thermal conductivity of the heat radiating part is higher than thermal conductivity of stainless steel.

    摘要: In embodiments of the invention, a superconductor lead is configured to have less ohmic heating by its own current and less heat conduction from room temperature to cryogenic temperature, where a cryogenic apparatus is located. The superconducting lead with no ohmic resistance and low thermal conductivity disclosed herein maximizes current capacity by placing superconductors in parallel, each having equal current. Thus, the resistances are controlled to provide uniform current distribution through each superconductor of the high temperature superconducting (HTS) lead.

Each band-segment (2, 2a, 7a-7e, 8a-8d, 15) has a flexible substrate (3) and a superconducting layer (4) deposited thereon, wherein the band-segments (2, 2a, 7a-7e, 8a-8d, 15) each have a length of 20 m or more. At least one of the band-segments (2, 2a, 7a-7e, 8a-8d, 15) forms a linked band-segment (2, 2a), and each linked band-segment (2, 2a) is connected to at least two further band-segments (7a-7e) in such a way that the combined further band-segments (7a-7e) overlap with at least 95% of the total length (L) of the linked band-segment (2, 2a). The magnet coil generates particularly high magnetic fields in a sample volume and has a low drift.
