Abstract: A controlling and monitoring control application associated with one or more work operations of one or more utility devices is disclosed. The controller is programmed for controlling one or more external work operations associated with one or more utility devices. An I/O board is connected in communication with the primary controller having a module with a plurality of device-specific control applications associated with one or more device-specific work operations. The housing of the controller includes one or more cable access points for plugging a cable into the controller. The cable access points are sealed to prevent water from entering into the housing. A mounting bracket assembly provides flexibility for mounting the controller at various orientations and/or positions. The controller also includes a DC control circuit for controlling backlight luminance over the entire dimming ratio.

Abstract: An industrial automation device includes first processing circuitry configured to perform a first set of operations associated with controlling the industrial automation device or one or more industrial automation devices communicatively coupled to the industrial automation device. The industrial automation device includes input/output circuitry communicatively couplable to an electronic device having second processing circuitry that is configured to execute computer-readable instructions to execute a software container and receive, in the software container, data from the industrial automation device, the one or more industrial automation devices, or both. The second processing circuitry executes the computer-readable instructions to perform, using the software container, a second set of operations associated with controlling the industrial automation device or the one or more industrial automation devices. The second processing circuitry is also executes the computer-readable instructions to adjust an operation of the industrial automation device based on the second set of operations.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software for computing systems are provided herein. In one example, a system includes a processor configured to communicate over a network interface and a processor peripheral communication interface. The system includes communication switch circuitry communicatively coupling the processor peripheral communication interface and a device peripheral communication interface of an endpoint device. The communication switch circuitry is configured to establish logical isolation among ports of the communication switch circuitry by instantiating visibility over the logical isolation among the processor and the endpoint device. The processor is configured to determine transactions received over the network interface are targeted for the endpoint device, and transfer at least data of the transactions over the communication switch circuitry for receipt by the endpoint device.

Communication switch circuitry is coupled to the communication interfaces of the processing modules and the communication interfaces of the additional modules, wherein the communication switch circuitry is configured to establish isolation among ports in the communication switch circuitry for one or more processing modules and one or more additional modules. At least one processor instantiates access to the one or more additional modules for the one or more processing modules over at least the isolation.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling automation includes a machine performing at least one operation and including a sensor for generating data in response to a performance of the operation by the machine. Data generated by the sensor is stored for retrieval by a server in data memory storage. The server includes at least one display template for displaying the data, and the server generates a data display by populating the at least one display template with the data. The data template can be populated with data in real time, to display the data display immediate to the generation of the data. The display template includes a data feature which is differentiated for displaying the data feature in a mode determined by the data populating the data display. The data display can be displayed in real time by a user device in communication with the server.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for smart electric power grid communication are disclosed in the present invention. At least one grid element transmits at least one registration message over an Internet Protocol (IP)-based network to at least one coordinator. The at least one coordinator registers the at least one grid element upon receipt of the at least one registration message. The at least one grid element automatically and/or autonomously transforms into at least one active grid element for actively functioning in the electric power grid. The at least one coordinator tracks based on revenue grade metrology an amount of power available for the electric power grid or a curtailment power available from the at least one active grid element.

Abstract: Machines can be controlled using advanced control systems that implement an automated version of singular spectrum analysis (SSA). For example, a control system can perform SSA on a time series having one or more time-dependent variables by: generating a trajectory matrix from the time series, performing singular value decomposition on the trajectory matrix to determine elementary matrices; and categorizing the elementary matrices into groups. The elementary matrices can be automatically categorized into the groups by: generating one or more w-correlation matrices based on spectral components associated with the time series, determining w-correlation values based on the one or more w-correlation matrices; categorizing the w-correlation values into a predefined number of w-correlation sets, and forming the groups based on the predefined number of w-correlation sets. The control system can then generate a predictive forecast using the groups and control operation of a machine using the predictive forecast.

Abstract: Disclosed is an HVAC system with networked HVAC zone sensors, and HVAC zone controllers communicating with portable smart devices over personal area networks, wherein the portable smart devices are registered with an HVAC controller and assigned to device groups, each of the HVAC zone controllers is paired with each of the portable smart devices, each of the HVAC zone controllers scans to determine whether, and how many of, the portable smart devices are within communication range, the HVAC controller communicates with each of the HVAC zone controllers to determine the results of the scans, and the HVAC controller controls the HVAC system based on the results accounting for how many of the portable smart devices detected by the HVAC zone controllers are subsumed under one or more of the device groups.

Abstract: A method for controlling one or more scent delivery units includes maintaining one or more scheduled events, maintaining one or more scheduled anti-events, and generating, based on the one or more scheduled events and the one or more scheduled anti-events, command data to be communicated to the one or more scent delivery units to control their activation and deactivation. Generating the command data includes identifying a conflicting period of time during which control specified by the one or more scheduled events differs from control specified by the one or more scheduled anti-events and also includes generating command data that gives priority to control specified by the one or more scheduled anti-events. Control for the one or more scent delivery units during the conflicting period of time is in accordance with control logic of the one or more scheduled anti-events and not the one or more scheduled events.
