摘要: A base of a relay has a leg extending in a contact/separation direction between contacts, and the leg is configured to come into contact with a yoke when the base is incorporated into a case. The leg is spaced away from an upper part of an armature by a distance. This distance is determined so that an upper surface of the armature does not come into contact with the leg in a normal operation of the armature, but the upper surface of the armature comes into contact with a lower surface of the leg when the armature jumps up beyond a movable range thereof due to, for example, a strong impact applied to a vehicle on which the relay is mounted.

The connecting portion includes a locking groove and a locking projection. An end of the movable iron core is disposed in the locking groove. The locking projection presses the end of the movable iron core in the locking groove. The locking projection extends in a support direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the moving member.

A flexible busbar is coupled to the first mating end and coupled to the movable contact. The flexible busbar electrically connects the first fixed contact and the movable contact in both the mated position and the unmated position. A coil assembly in the cavity operates to move the movable contact between the unmated position and the mating position.

摘要: A magnetic latching relay includes a casing containing a coil assembly, an electrically conductive plate and a static plate. A reed assembly is installed on surfaces opposite to the electrically conductive plate and the static plate and includes a reed, a pull-to-disconnect plate installed onto the reed, and a contact formed on the pull-to-disconnect plate. The casing includes a pushing latch latched to the coil assembly. If the relay is connected, the contacts of the reed assemblies of the electrically conductive plate and the static plate will touch each other, or else the pushing latch will be moved axially along the static plate and inserted between the pull-to-disconnect plates of the reed assemblies of the electrically conductive plate and the static plate to separate the contacts, so as to monitor the connected/disconnected status of the relay. An external display device is provided for displaying the connected/disconnected status.

摘要: A low-profile electrical contactor is provided comprising at least one electrical contact switch, an actuation means and a current determining device. The or each electrical contact switch has first and second electrical terminals, an electrically-conductive busbar in electrical communication with the first electrical terminal, the busbar having two end faces between which a current can flow in a flow direction and at least two flat sides in parallel with the flow direction, at least one fixed electrical contact which is attached to the busbar, an electrically-conductive moveable arm in electrical communication with the second electrical terminal, and at least one moveable electrical contact which is attached to the electrically-conductive moveable arm to form an electrical contact set with the fixed electrical contact. The actuation means can actuate the electrically-conductive moveable arm of the or each electrical contact switch between open and closed conditions. The current determining device has a first field-modifying element formed of a magnetic material located at or adjacent to the first end face of the busbar, a second field-modifying element formed of a magnetic material and located at or adjacent to the second end face of the busbar, at least one sensing coil at or adjacent to the busbar and the first and second field-modifying elements, and having a coil axis between planes of the first and second flat sides. An electromagnetic field induced by the current flowing in the busbar is modified by the first and second field-modifying elements to extend more or substantially more in parallel with the coil axis of the sensing coil.
