    摘要: A vehicle safety rollover device, that upon detection of a vehicle rollover, automatically shuts-off power to an ignition system of said vehicle and shuts down an electrical system of said vehicle. Power flows through a first latching relay switch to an ignition starter, and a second latching relay switch disconnects the electrical shutoff signal from the power input. When a sensor is activated, power flows from the power input to the set pins of the latching relay switches, causing the relay switches to switch positions from the first output position to the second output position. This causes power to the ignition starter to be disconnected, and power to flow to the electrical shutoff signal via the second latching relay switch, thereby causing the electrical system of the vehicle to shut down.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for testing a latching magnet of a switch including a switching contact, formed from contact elements mechanically separated from one another for opening the switching contact; an electronic trip unit, to monitor current flowing via the contact elements and to perform a test for a current-dependent trip condition; an electrical energy store, forming a circuit with the winding of the latching magnet, the circuit being closed for a first closing time when the trip condition of the trip unit is met; and an actuator, actuable by closing off the circuit and configured to separate the contact elements. For test purposes, the circuit is closed for a second closing time, which is so short that separation of the contact elements by the actuator does not take place. A test is then performed to ascertain whether there is a current flowing via the winding of the latching magnet.

    摘要: A magnetic latching relay includes a casing containing a coil assembly, an electrically conductive plate and a static plate. A reed assembly is installed on surfaces opposite to the electrically conductive plate and the static plate and includes a reed, a pull-to-disconnect plate installed onto the reed, and a contact formed on the pull-to-disconnect plate. The casing includes a pushing latch latched to the coil assembly. If the relay is connected, the contacts of the reed assemblies of the electrically conductive plate and the static plate will touch each other, or else the pushing latch will be moved axially along the static plate and inserted between the pull-to-disconnect plates of the reed assemblies of the electrically conductive plate and the static plate to separate the contacts, so as to monitor the connected/disconnected status of the relay. An external display device is provided for displaying the connected/disconnected status.

    摘要: Micro-electromagnetically actuated latched miniature relay switches formed from laminate layers comprising a spring and magnet, electromagnetic coils, magnetic latching material, and transmission line with contacts. Preferably the miniature relay switches transmit up to about 50 W of DC or AC line power, and carry up to about 10 A of load current, with an overall volume of less than about 100 mm3. In addition to switching large power, the device preferably requires less than 3 V to actuate, and has a latching feature that retains the switch state after actuation without the need for external applied voltage or current.
