    摘要： An autotrip plunger of a circuit breaker is disclosed for opening contacts of the circuit breaker to install and uninstall the circuit breaker from a current source. In an embodiment, the autotrip plunger includes a compression spring, a first body section and a second body section, the first body section including a contact surface for contacting a tripping element of the circuit breaker and the second body section including an arbor shaft for fitting in the compression spring. At the free end of the arbor shaft, the arbor shaft includes at least one radial protrusion for holding the compression spring. A circuit breaker with such an autotrip plunger is also disclosed.

    摘要： A circuit breaker (10, 12) includes a sensing circuit (48, 50, 52), a control circuit (46), an actuator (42), an operating mechanism, and an interlock mechanism (70, 94). The sensing circuit (48, 50, 52) is configured to generate the sense signal representative of a power signal flowing through a power circuit (54, 56, 58). The control circuit (46) has a frame (74, 76) and is configured to receive the sense signal and to provide a trip signal on a first terminal (68). The actuator (42) is external to the control circuit frame (74, 76) and has a second terminal (98) coupleable to the first terminal (68). The actuator (42) is configured to receive the trip signal on the second terminal (98). The operating mechanism is coupled to the actuator (42) and is configured to open and close the power circuit in response to actuation of a lever (36). The actuator (42) is configured to actuate the lever (36), in response to the trip signal. The interlock mechanism (70, 94) is coupled to at least one of the actuator (42) and the operating mechanism and is configured to actuate the lever (36) when the first terminal (68) is not coupled to the second terminal (98).

    摘要： A molded case multi-pole circuit breaker is provided with a solid state trip unit having removable and replaceable rating plug. A mechanical interlock trips the circuit breaker when a cover portion thereof is opened. This cover portion must be opened to gain access to the rating plug. A mechanical lockout device is actuated when rating plug is removed to maintain the breaker tripped and to prevent resetting thereof until a rating plug is reinserted in the trip unit.

    摘要： A static trip, molded case circuit breaker includes an operating mechanism having powerful mechanism springs to achieve the requisite contact pressures for high current carrying capacity. A rotary handle resets the operating mechanism via a reciprocating slide and a latching mechanism, while loading the mechanism springs. Return of the handle to its original position achieves rapid closure of the circuit breaker contacts. The latching mechanism is equipped with a trip interlock operating to trip the circuit breaker in response to removal of the case cover and to thereafter disable resetting of the operating mechanism in the absence of the cover and/or electronic trip unit.
