    摘要: By providing a plurality of landing correction coil pairs each comprised of a correction coil in the x-axis direction and a correction coil in the y-axis direction at four peripheral corner portions of the cathode ray tube (CRT) and by controlling the direction and magnitude of the resultant vector of the correction magnetic fields generated by the x-axis direction correction coil and the y-axis direction correction coil, the influence of the geomagnetism is canceled to allow a high-accuracy landing correction to be achieved. Furthermore, by detecting the chromaticity and luminance information on the screen to obtain a mislanding quantity and by forming a correction current corresponding to the quantity through the aforementioned correction means to perform an automatic correction to allow a quantitative landing correction to be performed correctly in a short time.

    摘要: A color cathode-ray tube apparatus having: a glass bulb including a face panel, a funnel, and a neck; a deflection yoke attached to the funnel to surround thereof; and a color-selection electrode disposed inside the face panel. A pair of degaussing coils are wound around the upper and lower portions of the glass bulb, respectively. A loop coil, which is disposed around the glass bulb between the color-selection electrode and the deflection yoke, includes: a first portion including two extending portions of the loop coil positioned over and below the glass bulb respectively, each center of the extending portions being substantially in a plane perpendicular to a tube axial of the glass bulb; and a second portion including two bent portions that are formed by bending right and left sides of an original form of the loop coil toward the neck.

    摘要: A geomagnetic direction sensor has a plurality of magnetic cores for converging terrestrial magnetism arranged circumferentially with pre-set gaps, and magneto-resistive effect devices in the gaps so as to lie substantially at right angles to the direction of the magnetic field in the gaps. The geomagnetic direction sensor has at least a pair of magneto-resistive effect devices lying substantially at right angles to each other. The magnetic core is formed of a magnetic material having soft magnetic properties. The current is supplied to the excitation coils placed around the magnetic core for applying a bias magnetic field to the magneto-resistive effect devices. Another set of magneto-resistive effect devices are connected in series with the magneto-resistive effect devices arranged within the gap so as to be substantially parallel to the direction of the magnetic field.

    摘要: An apparatus for automatically correcting an earth magnetic field for a monitor includes: a peripheral magnetic field sensing unit for sensing a variation in a magnetic field and generating a corresponding frequency; a frequency producing unit for arithmetically operating the frequency generated from the peripheral magnetic field sensing unit and producing frequencies corresponding to each direction, a correction amount computing unit for computing each correction amount corresponding to the frequencies of each direction produced by the frequency producing unit; and a deflection correction unit for correcting a deflection error of the monitor as much as the corrected amount in the correction amount computing unit. By having such construction, a screen is automatically corrected by sensing a peripheral magnetic field with a small memory capacity, thereby attaining users' convenience in correcting an earth magnetic field and maintaining an optimum picture quality.

A red raster is generated in the corners of the CRT, the pattern of the raster corresponding to the area covered by the sensors. A pair of coils is located about the face of the CRT in a Helmholtz configuration and are driven by a current generator in response to the sensor output to maximize sensor output, thereby generating a compensating magnetic field which cancels external axial fields affecting the CRT.
