    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a low thermal expansion filler for low thermal expansion glasses which has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and exhibits superior flowability in a molten state, and a glass composition containing the same.It has been found that a low thermal expansion filler composed of a hexagonal zirconium phosphate powder where a specific particle size of 0.8 μm to 50 μm is 95% or more on a volume basis has excellent low thermal expansion property and excellent flowability, and a glass composition containing the filler has been accomplished.

    摘要: A self-adhesive frame is applied in package of field emission display, the manufacturing method for the same and the package method by the same being also discussed in the specification. The self-adhesive frame can be designed as an independent component and suitable to be manufactured independently. The cathode plate and the anode plate do not need to join the process of pre-heating of the self-adhesive frame. The self-adhesive frame also has a plurality of fixing side strips for alignment of temporary fixing of the cathode plate and the anode plate. Wherein the fixing side strips do not increase the void area of the field emission display. The self-adhesive frame comprises: a main body frame having the cathode plate sealing surface and the anode plate sealing surface; and a fixing side strip extending from the outer side of the main body frame.

    摘要: An image display apparatus includes an envelope which has a front substrate and a rear substrate opposed to each other and individually having peripheral edge portions sealed together. A sealed portion is sealed by a sealing member. the sealing member has electrical conductivity and melts when supplied with current. After the sealing member in the sealed portion is supplied with current and melted during manufacture, the current supply is stopped to cool and solidify the sealing member, whereupon the respective peripheral edge portions of the front substrate and the rear substrate are selected together.

    摘要: A flat-panel display is hermetically sealed by a process in which a first plate structure (30) is positioned generally opposite a second plate structure (32) such that sealing material (34) provided over the second plate structure lies between the plate structures. In a gravitational sealing technique, the first plate structure is positioned vertically below the second plate structure. The sealing material is heated so that it moves vertically downward under gravitational influence to meet the first plate structure and seal the plate structures together. In a global-heating gap-jumping technique, the plate structures and sealing material are globally heated to cause the sealing material to jump a gap between the sealing material and the first plate structure. When the first plate structure is positioned vertically above the second plate structure, the sealing material moves vertically upward to meet the first plate structure and close the gap.

    摘要: A side bar for a flat panel display device is disposed between a faceplate and a backplate of the flat panel display device such that it seals the two plates and maintains a constant gap between the two plates. The side bar includes contacting surfaces confronting the facing surfaces of the faceplate and the backplate, and a paste-receiving groove formed on each contacting surface in a longitudinal direction. The paste-receiving groove is provided with adhesive paste for sealing the faceplate to the backplate. The present invention further provides a side bar which has a getter-receiving groove formed thereon adjacent to the paste-receiving groove. The getter-receiving groove is provided with a getter used for improving the vacuum degree of the flat panel display device. The present invention also encompasses a flat panel display device employing the side bar described above, and a method of manufacturing the side bar for a flat panel display device.

    摘要: A method and apparatus is disclosed for rapidly joining a first glass substrate to a second glass substrate. The first glass substrate and second glass substrates are separated by a peripheral glass spacer or frame. The glass frame is sandwiched between the first and second substrates. A layer of glass frit is placed on the top and bottom surfaces of the frame or about the top and bottom peripheral edges of the substrates in contact with the frame. Heat is then applied substantially solely to the periphery of the substrates about the frame to cause the frit to melt thereby securing the top substrate to the bottom substrate.

Thus, a stress according to heating and cooling of the base material is reduced and crack does not occur easily in a bonding portion.
