摘要: A measuring system for measuring a physical quantity related to one of an electromagnetic wave and a magnetic field includes a vibration-type actuator, a waveform generating unit configured to generate a driving waveform signal of the vibration-type actuator, an optical transmitter unit configured to receive the driving waveform signal and convert the driving waveform signal into an optical signal, an optical receiver unit configured to receive the optical signal and convert the optical signal into an alternating-current voltage signal, and a drive circuit configured to receive the alternating-current voltage signal and apply the alternating-current voltage signal to the vibration-type actuator. The waveform generating unit and the optical transmitter unit are disposed outside a magnetic shield room. The optical receiver unit, the drive circuit, and the vibration-type actuator are disposed inside the magnetic shield room, and the optical signal is transmitted between the optical transmitter unit and the optical receiver unit.

摘要: Provided is a method of controlling a vibration motor, in which there are provided: a unit that generates a drive signal for generating elliptic motion; a unit that switches the drive signal with a voltage from a power supply, and changes a pulse width of the drive signal; a unit that detects a current flowing in an electromechanical energy conversion element through the switching unit; a unit that detects a position and a velocity of an object to be driven; and a control unit that controls the respective units, and sets the velocity of the object to be driven. The control unit controls a frequency and the pulse width of the drive signal so as to exercise a maximum output characteristic with respect to a target velocity within a range in which the current detected by the current detection unit does not exceed a given limit value.

摘要: An electrostrictive revolution type ultrasonic motor includes a piezoelectric ceramic disk shaped stator and a rotor. The piezoelectric ceramic disk shaped stator has an eccentric movement via excitation by two phase pulse like voltage. The rotor is fitted around the circumference of the stator and is transmitted by a rotating torque due to the eccentric movement via frictional contact therebetween. The rotor is formed of a plastic material by injection molding to achieve a reduction of a size variation of the rotor and a stable contact with the stator. A high and stable rotating torque is thereby obtained with a reduced production cost. Further, a driving device for the ultrasonic motor which varies the frequency of a voltage applied to the ultrasonic motor in a stepped manner discriminates the magnitude of the corresponding motor currents and drives the ultrasonic motor with the frequency which causes the maximum motor current. In this manner, a simple structured and low cost driving device which operates at a high speed and at a high resolution with a high efficiency is achieved.
