    摘要: A control apparatus for an AC rotary machine includes a control circuit, a power converter, a current detector, and a voltage detector. The control circuit includes: an activation current instruction unit which generates a current instruction for activation; and a start phase setting unit which sets an initial rotation phase for activation control, based on the rotation direction of the AC rotary machine just after activation and on the polarity of current detected by the current detector just after activation. Thus, the current amplitude and torque shock just after activation control is started can be reduced, and assured and stable reactivation is allowed without causing the protection operation.

    摘要: A motor start circuit for A-C electric motors. A microprocessor-based circuit is used to detect the phase shift that occurs in the motor current as the motor goes from the initial locked-rotor state to the running state. This circuit applies current to a motor `start` winding when the motor is first switched on, but turns off the start winding when the motor achieves sufficient running speed, as indicated by the shift in phase of the current in the motor's `run` winding. For bi-directional motors with two start windings, the microprocessor can apply current to either start winding.

    摘要: The invention relates to a soft starting method and system thereof in the way of wave-skipping with stepped frequency and stepless voltage regulating for a motor which can be applied to the large torque starting of AC motor under the condition of a power supply of a industrial frequency supply source and the safe starting of higher load. Trigger signals generated by a control system, in the soft starting method of the invention, act on five sets of anti-parallel thyristor valves connected between the power supply and the motor to conduct a pair of thyristors thereof according to a set frequency and sequence, and the motor is started from a standstill status to full speed in the way of wave-skipping by controlling the sets of the thyristor valves. The method may improve the starting torque for more than 10 times of the traditional motor soft starting of the voltage reduction and control the starting current for about two times of the rated current. The cost thereof is only 20-25% of similar frequency converter.

    摘要: A system for insuring the correct rotational direction of a permanent magnet, bi-directional alternating current motor. A sensor driven by the output of the motor provides a time varying voltage signal that is differentiated and detected. The signal is then applied to either agree with or override the output control signal from a conventional motor control circuit. When the system operates in the correct direction, the signal complements the motor control. When the device tries to operate in an incorrect direction, the signal overrides the motor control signal.

    摘要: An apparatus for a quasi variable frequency motor controller is includes a DFC module that applies a first frequency to a motor as part of a discrete frequency control (“DFC”) method for motor starting. The first frequency includes a discrete frequency in a plurality of discrete frequencies of the DFC method and each discrete frequency includes a frequency lower than a fundamental frequency of an alternating current (“AC”) voltage source providing power to the motor. The apparatus includes a torque module that determines when motor torque generated by the motor reaches a negative torque threshold and a next frequency module that applies a second frequency to the motor in response to the torque module determining that the motor torque has reached the negative torque threshold. The second frequency is a next frequency in the DFC method.
