    摘要: A CRT display apparatus having an FBT amplifying an inputted voltage and outputting the amplified voltage to an anode of a CRT, a vertical regulator to regulate a V-size of a screen, and a vertical deflector to vertically deflect a scanning line, further comprises a brightness change sensor to sense a voltage applied to an input terminal of a secondary induction coil provided in the FBT, and to output a sensed signal to the vertical regulator; and a brightness change compensator to output a compensating value to the vertical regulator based on the voltage applied to the input terminal, a frequency of the scanning line, and a specification size of the screen to compensate a brightness change. With this configuration, a V-size fluctuation due to a brightness change is minimized in the CRT display apparatus.

    摘要: A raster distortion correction and deflection circuit arrangement includes a deflection coil adapted to be mounted on a cathode ray tube, a horizontal deflection coil driving circuit for passing a current of saw-tooth waveform of a horizontal deflection period through a horizontal deflection coil constituting the deflection coil, a flyback transformer the primary winding of which is connected between a power supply and an output terminal of the horizontal deflection coil driving circuit, an S-correction capacitor connected in series with the horizontal deflection coil, and an anode voltage detection circuit for detecting variations in an anode voltage of the cathode ray tube which is a secondary winding output of the flyback transformer. A raster distortion correction current based on an output voltage of the anode voltage detection circuit is injected into a connection point of the horizontal deflection coil and the S-correction capacitor. A signal from a signal detection circuit for ABL connected to the flyback transformer can be employed together with an output of the anode voltage detection circuit or in substitution for it for generating the raster distortion correction current.

    摘要: The present invention includes a DC signal generating circuit for generating a DC signal and a ramp signal generating circuit for generating a periodic ramp signal. A synthesizing circuit is then used to combine the DC signal and the ramp signal to generate a synthesized signal, where the DC level of the synthesized signal is determined by the DC level of the DC signal. A driving circuit is used to amplify the power of the synthesized signal. A rotate coil surrounding the neck of a cathode-ray tube is responsive to the amplified synthesized signal, and therefore generates a magnetic force to turn electron beam in the cathode-ray tube, thereby compensating the trapezoidal distortion on the bottom and the top edges of a screen display.

    摘要: An image screen automatic adjustment apparatus for a video display monitor device is provided. The apparatus includes a microprocessor for handling the operation of the monitor device and for implementing the image screen adjustments. The monitor device has a switch for enabling the image screen automatic adjustment. Push button processor circuitry is coupled between the switch and the microprocessor for signalling to the microprocessor when the switch is enabled. Image inspection circuitry is coupled to the microprocessor for outputting horizontal and vertical image signals and horizontal front-back porch signals. When the image screen automatic adjustment switch is enabled, the image inspection circuitry provides the horizontal and vertical image signals and the horizontal front-back porch signals to the microprocessor for implementing an optimization analysis processing to obtain a set of optimized control parameters including a vertical size parameter V.sub.size, a vertical position parameter V.sub.position, a horizontal size parameter H.sub.size, and a horizontal position parameter H.sub.position. The microprocessor automatically adjusts the image screen based on this set of optimized control parameter.

    摘要: The present invention, generally speaking, provides an improved base drive arrangement for scan and/or EHT output stages in a television or video display monitor. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, by adding just a few components to an existing main base drive circuit, two power transistors may be driven, e.g. a scan output transistor and an EHT output transistor. The two power transistors are switched at the same time, allowing pulse width modulators of the scan and EHT circuits to operate on a common time base. Switching of two power transistors at the same time would usually require a quite complicated design to offset the different storage times of the two devices, thereby achieving high performance but at a considerable cost premium. The base drive circuit of the invention achieve substantial synchronization of the two transistors at minimal cost. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a base drive circuit uses a low DC supply voltage and a resistive element in series with the main current path in order to produce a more constant maximum base current over frequency.

    摘要: A circuit for compressing and expanding video color component data comprises a FIFO line memory and a delay circuit. A timing circuit generates control signals for writing data into the line memory and for reading data from the line memory to compress and expand the data. The delay circuit matches the data compressed or expanded in the FIFO line memory to luminance data which is similarly compressed or expanded. A switching network selectively establishes a first signal path in which the line memory precedes the delay circuit for implementing the data expansion and a second signal path in which the delay circuit precedes the line memory for implementing the data compression. The switching network is controlled according to selected display formats requiring compression or expansion, for example by a microprocessor.

    摘要: Deflection apparatus for a raster scanned cathode ray tube display comprises a ramp generator (210) for producing a current ramp signal synchronised to a raster synchronisation signal. A ramp regulator (230) is connected to the generator (210) for varying the amplitude of the scan signal as a function of the difference between a reference input and a feedback signal. A feedback circuit (220) connected to the generator (210) and to the regulator (230) for generating the feedback signal as a function of the amplitude and frequency of the line scan signal. A multiplier (250) is connected to the regulator and for varying the reference input as a function of an integer multiple of the frequency of the raster synchronisation signal. Any scan signal frequency component in the feedback signal is cancelled at the input to the regulator by introducing, via the multiplier (250), a scan signal frequency component to the reference input. Because the displayed picture size is thus made independent of scan signal frequency, the deflection apparatus can maintain a constant picture size despite variations in scanning signal frequency without the bandwidth limitations of the prior art.
