Abstract:
Disclosed is a connecting module which is to be used in telecommunication and data technology and comprises a housing, electric contacts for connecting wires and/or cables, and at least one fastening element that allows the connecting module to be fixed to an assembly frame. Said fastening element is embodied at least in two parts, encompassing a first fastening piece and a second fastening piece. The connecting module can be put on the assembly frame by means of the first fastening piece and can be locked on the assembly frame with the aid of the second fastening piece.
Abstract:
A distribution device (1) for distributed wiring is constructed with multiple modules (3) that have, respective disconnect hinges (14) mounted disconnectedly to a first rail (4) on a distribution backbone (2), and quick disconnect fasteners (11) disconnectedly secured to a corresponding other rail (4) on the distribution backbone (2).
Abstract:
The invention is a modular terminal block assembly. The modular terminal block assembly includes a base module in which communications company lines may be dressed and retained during the dressing operation. A connector module is provided for attachment over the base module and to engage the distribution lines retained in the base module with insulation displacement connectors (IDC) which are retained in the connector module. A protection module is provided for engagement with an opposite side of the base module so that protection can be provided on the lines without interfering with the connection termination of customer service line on the connector module. The modular terminal block assembly provides structures which allow the assembled modular terminal block to be retained on a standard U-shaped mounting frame or for attachment to a rod frame system. The protection module maintains protection on the lines while the terminal block assembly is in contact with the U-shaped frame and rod frame system. A half-tap assembly may be attached to the modular terminal block, independent of the service line assembly for the addition of a line to the terminal block. An environmental protectant is retained in the modular terminal block to protect the conductive connections retained therein from detrimental environmental effects.
Abstract:
A slide assembly for slidably coupling a telecommunications tray to a telecommunications chassis includes a rail configured for mounting to the chassis, the rail defining a rail sliding cavity flanked by a first detent adjacent a first end and a second detent adjacent a second end of the rail, the rail further comprising first and second chassis mounting features, the first and the second chassis mounting features are oriented with respect to each other such that if two of the same rails are aligned and brought together in a juxtaposed relationship with the first and second chassis mounting features facing each other, the first and the second chassis mounting features can nest relative to each other so as to not increase the total width of the two rails. A guide configured for mounting to the telecommunications tray defines a guide sliding cavity configured to slidably receive the rail such that the rail sliding cavity and the guide sliding cavity face each other, the guide defines a pin connected thereto via a flexible cantilever arm, at least a portion of the pin extending into the rail sliding cavity when the rail and the guide are in a sliding relationship for latching by the first and second detents of the rail in providing two predetermined stop positions for the guide.
Abstract:
A connection module that mounts to a frame includes a housing and electrical contacts positioned on different ends of the housing. A first fixing member defines a channel sized to receive at least a portion of a frame. A second fixing member is moveable relative to the first fixing member to extend at least partially across the channel of the first fixing member.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a distributor device for use in communication and data systems technology, comprising at least one distributor connection module. Said distributor connection module comprises a housing which houses input and output contacts, accessible from the exterior, for connecting lines, cables or wires. The distributor device comprises at least one additional connection module which comprises at least one SDH/SONET transport interface and outputs for electrical signals. The outputs of the connection module are connected to inputs of the distributor connection module. The connection module comprises at least one converter for converting SDH/SONET transport signals to E1 signals and vice versa. The invention also relates to a corresponding connection module and a corresponding distributor connection module.
Abstract:
A functional module in the field of telecommunications has a front, a rear and four side faces, more than two first contacts and more than two second contacts, each first contact being connected with a second contact, the contacts being adapted to be connected with first and second contacts of at least one contact module. Contacts are adapted to connect wires therewith so as to establish electrical connection between the contacts of the functional module and the contacts of the contact module. In addition, a telecommunications module includes at least one functional module and at least one contact module. An assembly of two or more telecommunications modules and a kit of parts are described. A method of installing a telecommunications module include installing a contact module then fitting a functional module to the contact module.
Abstract:
A telecommunications assembly has three or more telecommunications contacts adapted to connect wires. One or more of the contacts are disposed in a first telecommunications module, and at least one first test bus (15, 20) attached to the first telecommunications module (10) and extends along a face (24) of the telecommunication module (10) and along one or more of the telecommunications contacts. A test bus (20) attachable to a telecommunications module (10) has three or more telecommunications contacts adapted to connect wires to extend along a side (24) of the telecommunications modules (10) and along at least some of the telecommunications contacts, or to a carrier (42) adapted to carry a plurality of telecommunications modules (10) to extend along at least some telecommunications modules (10) is disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an assembly of at least one carrier (12), at least one telecommunications module (10) mounted on the carrier (12) and at least two grounding elements (14, 16), at least one grounding element (14) being fitted to the telecommunications module, and at least one grounding element (16) being fitted to the carrier (12), wherein the grounding elements (14, 16) are in direct contact with each other and can be pivoted with regard to each other while keeping the contact.
