摘要： Provided is a perfectly-decomposable, biodegradable barrier sheet that has an excellent thermoformability and oxygen barrier performance, and can transform into carbon dioxide and water via microbial degradation (biodegradation) during composting and thus return to nature. Further provided is a container obtained by thermoforming the barrier sheet. This laminated sheet is provided with an oxygen-barrier resin layer and biodegradable resin layers laminated via an adhesive layer to both surfaces of the oxygen-barrier resin layer. The total percentage by mass of the biodegradable resin layers is at least 90% of the entire sheet, and the percentage by mass of each biodegradable resin layer is at least 10% of the entire sheet. The oxygen transmission rate of the entire sheet does not exceed 10 cc/m2·day. At least one substance selected from polylactic acid, polybutylene succinate, polyhydroxybutyrate, polycaprolactone, polyhydroxyalkanoate, polyglycolic acid, modified polyvinyl alcohol, and starch is used in the biodegradable resin.

摘要： A transparent, biodegradable, disposable splash shield sized to fit on a toilet bowl rim to prevent splashing of water from the bowl when a plunger is used to free an obstruction in the toilet. The shield is dome shaped and has an upstanding projection on its top that can be gripped to pull the shield from the plunger handle following use. An annular flange on the bottom end of the shield is adapted to rest on rim of a toilet bowl. Adhesive material on the underside of the flange, or strips of adhesive tape on the marginal edge of the shield, releasably secure the shield in position. The shield is nestable and may be foldable in half. A toilet kit includes the splash shield, gloves, at least one paper towel, and a flattened box, all packaged in an envelope-like bag that can be used to contain and dispose of these items following use.

A sealer or binder can be mixed with paint before it is applied to the first sealant layer. A second sealant layer can be applied to the paint layer. Any binder mixed with the paint, as well as the first and second sealant layers respectively can comprise a natural, synthetic, oil based, or biodegradable polymer sealant, or a combination thereof. Preferably, the first sealant layer, the paint layer, and the second sealant layer add less than 10% of total non-biodegradable weight to the total weight of the molded fiber product.

The paper pouch and the powder detergent may be safe for septic wastewater treatment systems, biodegradable, and hypoallergenic. The paper pouch may be non-toxic.
