Abstract: A positioning device for positioning an object includes a platform, a slide rail vertically extending from the platform, two standard units, and a retaining unit. The standard units are slidably mounted to the slide rail to abut against a first side of the object to cooperatively define a position reference plane for the object. The retaining unit includes a fixing block fixed to the high standard unit, a slide bar slidably mounted to the fixing block, a holding arm fixed to the slide bar to abut against a second side opposite to the first side of the object, and a spring to bias the slide bar to ensure that the holding arm abuts against the second side of the object.

Abstract: A method of aligning and duplicating alignment includes welding a washer over a larger opening in a hinge once in an aligned position relative to a vehicle door. The door is mounted into an alignment fixture and the hinges are installed over threaded studs extending from the door. The washer is placed onto the threaded stud and tightened against the hinge, covering the larger opening in the hinge. The larger opening in the hinge allows movement of the hinge relative to the door for alignment. The washer defines an opening with a smaller opening sized to provide relatively little clearance for the threaded stud, and thereby maintain alignment between the door and hinge. The washer is permanently attached by a welding operation to allow duplication of door hinge alignment during reassembly.

Abstract: An all-direction transport includes a triangular wheeled platform for stable movement over a surface such as a factory, business or gymnasium floor, pathway or roadway. A load support is pivotally attached to the wheeled platform, and can pivot from a horizontal position parallel to the platform to a vertical position perpendicular to the platform. An extensible brace extends from the platform to load support when in an operative position. A pin passes through one part of the brace, which allows the load support to pick up a load from vertical position, while preventing the load support from moving beyond a predetermined limit towards horizontal. The brace is additionally removably pinned on one end to either the platform in an operative position or to the load support in a storage position, to allow the transport to be folded relatively flat. The load support additionally may be extensible in either horizontal direction, vertical direction or both. Other alternative embodiments are also described.

Abstract: A door holding device is disclosed for wedging a door relative to a ceiling for preventing swinging or falling over of the door during painting thereof. The device includes a tubular member having a first and a second end. A biasing device having a first and a second extremity is disposed within the tubular member so that the first extremity of the biasing device abuts against the first end of the tubular member. A piston having a first and a second termination is slidably disposed within the tubular member so that the first termination of the piston abuts against the second extremity of the biasing device such that the piston is urged by the biasing device axially away from the first end of the tubular member. A door engaging fastener is rigidly secured to the first end of the tubular member such that in use of the device, the door engaging fastener is disposed between the door and the first end of the tubular member. A ceiling pad is connected to the second termination of the piston for engaging the ceiling, the arrangement being structured such that in use of the device, when the device is positioned between the door and the ceiling, the biasing device urges the door engaging fastener against the door and the ceiling pad against the ceiling so that the door is wedged and prevented from swinging or falling over so that painting of the door is permitted.

Abstract: A paint rack system for consolidating doors and shutters for spray painting and storing in an organized assembly. The system generally comprises an elongate base having opposite ends and a longitudinal axis. Abstract: A cart is configured to handle replaceable plates used on the blade of a plow or grader. The cart includes a wheeled frame and a plate holder configured to support the plate lengthwise in a generally upright orientation. Abstract: A door mounting tool is used for mounting a door to a door jamb and includes a frame having a base frame member for holding the base of a door and an end frame member hingedly attached to the base frame member for holding one edge of a door. A plurality of door holding members are movably attached to the frame for locking the door to the base frame member and to the end frame member. A plurality of side support members may be either hingedly or fixedly attached to the side of the base frame member and each has an adjustable leg extending therefrom for adjusting the height of the base frame member adjacent a door jamb. There is at least one wheel mounted to the base frame member at one end thereof for rolling the frame therein when a door is attached thereto so that a door can be mounted to the door mounting tool and positioned for hanging the door to a door jamb and for moving the door around a job site like a door cart or dolly. The base frame member and the end frame member are each U-channels hinged together and the plurality of door holding members are threaded through one side of each U-channel member for driving the edge of a door against one edge of each U-frame member. The end frame member can be folded onto the base frame member and the plurality of side support members folded adjacent the base frame member for storage of the door mounting tool.
