    摘要: A pressure relief valve for use with flexible containers is disclosed. The valve comprises a valve chamber, a valve chamber seat with an inlet gas port or ports to the interior of the container and a resilient diaphragm floating within the chamber. The valve seat is shaped with a generally flat diaphragm-engaging surface in a central area of the diaphragm where the inlet gas port(s) are located, and at least one surface that does not generally engage the outer portion of the diaphragm, such that a diaphragm floating in the valve chamber engages a central portion of the valve seat surface stopping the passage of gases in or out of the container before a certain pressure is reached, but permitting the passage of gases from within the flexible container as pressure builds, while preventing the flow of atmospheric gases into the container.

    摘要: An intermittent suction device for removing fluids from a patient where the duty cycle between the OFF and ON cycles is controlled by a magnetically susceptible diaphragm that switches back and forth between first and second positions, representing ON and OFF positions, by controlling the differential pressure across the diaphragm. The diaphragm is biased toward it first position by a permanent magnet that acts to attract the flexible diaphragm. The device has few moving parts and its duty cycle and overall cycle times are easily adjusted by the user.

    摘要: A vacuum line control valve having a single vacuum input port and a pair of output ports to which vacuum is supplied alternately, each output port being vented to atmosphere when not at vacuum pressure. A reciprocating valve control member is carried by a resilient diaphragm which separates two internal chambers. A first valve control setting corresponds to the initial, rest position of the diaphragm. Differential pressures in the chambers first displace the diaphragm to the second valve control setting and then return it to the first. Frequency of alternation is determined by a bleed aperture between one output port and one chamber.

    摘要: In an automobile engine exhaust gas cleaning system including an exhaust gas reactor which is supplied with auxiliary air for effecting combustion of unburnt constituents such as CO and HC in the exhaust gas, an air flow control device is provided for controlling the supply of the auxiliary air. The control device includes a first control valve disposed in the auxiliary air supply passage and controlled in response to the engine intake pressure so that it is opened when the engine intake vacuum is above the wide-open throttle vacuum, and a second control valve for controlling the supply of the engine intake vacuum to the first control valve in such a manner that it allows the engine intake vacuum to pass into the first control valve when the vacuum is lower than the value that is produced during deceleration and that it introduces atmospheric pressure to the first control valve when the vacuum increases to the value that is produced during deceleration. A time delay device is provided in the second control valve so that the atmospheric pressure to the first control valve is cut-off and the engine intake vacuum is again introduced into the first control valve after a certain time delay during initial period of engine deceleration.

    摘要: A fluid oscillator having a housing with a fluid inlet channel connected to a source of fluid under pressure, and first and second fluid outlet channels which communicate with the fluid inlet channel. A diaphragm is positioned so as to control the flow of fluid from the fluid inlet channel to the first fluid outlet channel. The second fluid outlet channel is connected to the fluid inlet channel upstream of the diaphragm, but the arrangement is such that the fluid flows through the first outlet channel when the diaphragm is in its open position. When the diaphragm is in its closed position, the fluid is diverted to the second outlet channel. The first outlet channel terminates in an end which is open to the atmosphere, and is dimensioned to produce an inertial effect in the fluid flowing through it. When the diaphragm moves to its closed position there is a momentary partial vacuum in the first outlet channel, which helps to hold the diaphragm firmly in its closed position. After the inertial effect has substantially dissipated, the force of the fluid against the diaphragm is sufficient to cause the diaphragm to return to its open position, whereupon the fluid resumes its flow through the first outlet channel.
