摘要： A water-spraying device for cleaning ship's hull and other upright surfaces has a horizontally movable carriage from which an outrigger extends towards the surface to be cleaned, and carries a water-spraying device. 摘要： A high tension withstanding pull hose coupling including a first tubular water inlet pipe assembly mounted on a travelling support and including a rear inlet end opening outwardly in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the support. The inlet end of the water inlet pipe assembly defines downstream tapering outer frusto-conical wedge surfaces and a wedge sleeve is loosely telescoped over the inlet end and includes downstream tapering inner frusto-conical wedge surfaces. An elongated tubular hose includes an outlet end telescoped over the outer wedge surfaces of the water inlet pipe assembly and the sleeve is telescoped over the hose outlet end with the wall portions of the hose outlet end clamped between the inner and outer conical surfaces of the sleeve and water inlet pipe assembly.

摘要： The apparatus for the automated fueling of a launch vehicle includes a mobile fuel line platform assembly for carrying a fuel line assembly. A gross mechanical actuation mechanism provides gross positioning of the platform assembly relative to a fuel tank inlet. A micro-positioning mechanism provides micro-positioning of the fuel line assembly relative to the fuel tank inlet. A floating plate assembly securely connects the fuel line assembly to the fuel tank inlet. Leak detector detects any leaks in the connection between the fuel line assembly and the fuel tank. The present invention augments existing space program hardware thereby removing human involvement and increasing vehicle/environment safety.

摘要： A framework mounted on wheels to follow a ditch path carries a plurality of siphon tubes suspended at their outer end from an arm pivotable in response to a float detecting the water level in the ditch, and the inner end of the tubes contain water impeller blades mounted on a common shaft through all tube heads, retaining the heads in submerged position in the ditch. The structure supporting the outer tube ends is spring biased to raise the tubes, and each tube has a flexible mid-portion and a water trap in the outer end. A silt remover agitator is mounted on a longitudinal track and powered to move between the opposite ends of the framework to entrain silt in the water for removal by the siphon tubes. A wheel trash remover at the upstream end of the framework is self-powered by the current to catch and eject debris from the ditch water, and a dam at the downstream end of the framework retains the ditch water under the framework. A clock timer controls the movement of the framework at fixed intervals by actuating an electric drive motor that also turns the impeller shaft at the conclusion of each movement.

摘要： A transfer conveyer for a monorail-supported slurry transportation system has a bottom frame which is formed through a 180.degree. arc. An input ramp and an output ramp and rollers are radially journaled along the bottom frame. The side frames are constructed around the bottom frame, and a plurality of rollers is journaled in the side frame. A transport system is attached to the frames, and an apparatus is attached between the transport system and the frame to change the angle of the bottom frame with respect to the horizon. The input and output ramps are also pivotally attached to the frame in order that they may be swung horizontally with respect to the frame to properly align the input and output ramps with the overhead monorail transportation system.

摘要： A conveyor for a flexible slurry hose of the type carried on a plurality of wheel-supported carts interconnected by an articulated linkage. The conveyor provides guidance and track means for transporting the carts and hose through a 180.degree. turn by lifting the wheels from the ground and guiding the linkage through the 180.degree. turn. The hose linkage and carts are guided through portions of an elliptical path before and after passing through an arc of a circle facilitating greater ease in negotiation of the entire turn, and a lesser degree of lateral displacement of the linkage than in systems guiding through a 180.degree. path of travel formed on a constant radius.
