    摘要: A diaphragm-type gas pressure regulator wherein the valve subassembly is constructed as a drop-in unit. The valve subassembly includes a diaphragm lever and a plunger valve. A seat disk is inserted in a cavity at a first end of the plunger valve and the rounded pivot end of the lever is inserted in a groove at the other end of the plunger valve. The plunger valve is then inserted into a valve guide and a lever pin is installed through the guide and the lever, thereby capturing the subassembly. This subassembly is then placed into the regulator body and a mounting plate of the valve guide is screwed down into the regulator body. The lever is lifted up and its actuator end is inserted through an opening at the bottom of the valve stem of the regulator's diaphragm assembly. An orifice member is then threadedly installed into the regulator body inlet, the end of the orifice member having a valve seat which becomes seated in the end of the plunger valve guide. In an alternate embodiment, the orifice is formed as part of the plunger valve guide.

    摘要: A self-operated droop compensated regulator includes a spring casing and a lower casing, sandwiching a diaphragm. The lower casing has axially aligned inlet and outlet ports. A one piece cam stem and relief seat is mounted for movement with the diaphragm and includes a first cam surface for directly engaging a movable disk holder. The disk holder is movable in a straight line within an orifice tube that supports the valve seat. The cam surface moves the disk holder at a nonlinear rate with respect to the diaphragm. The orifice tube has an extension for providing a boost action to the diaphragm. A pressure relief mechanism is incorporated within the upper portion of the diaphragm. A bias spring acts, between a second similar cam surface on the opposite side of the stem and the disk holder, to maintain the first cam surface in contact with the disk holder.

    摘要: The invention is an improved pressure compensating flow limiting valve which maintains an optimum performance curve at differing flow rates. The invention is the specific placing of a vent passage in the valve spool immediately downstream of the fluid jet passing across the spool in a metering mode with the vent passage connected to one of the servo chambers which positions the spool. The effect of the exiting fluid jet draws some fluid from the vent passage thereby dropping the pressure level in that servo chamber sufficiently to offset certain dynamic forces on the spool and balance the spring forces on the spool with these forces regardless of the flow rate through the valve.
