    摘要: A fluid control device comprises a valve body, a valve plug, a valve cage, and a sealing ring. At least a portion of the sealing ring is disposed within a gap between the valve plug and the valve cage to provide a seal therebetween when the valve plug is in the closed position. The sealing ring includes an L-shaped cross-section that provides an effective seal regardless of the port diameter of the fluid control device, and thus, reduces the number of types of seals required to be stored in inventory for various applications.

    摘要: A check valve is for use in a fluid system. A valve body has an inlet end, a valve cavity, and an outlet end. A valve enables a valve assembly to control the flow of fluid therethrough. A plug of the valve assembly includes tapered and non-tapered sections, the tapered section having a cross section that increases in diameter in a direction that is downstream from the inlet end of the valve body. A sealing ring is mounted to reciprocate on the non-tapered section and an elastomeric actuation ring is mounted along the tapered section. The tapered section biases the actuation ring to a normal position, at which the actuation ring contacts and positions the sealing ring in contact with the valve body and the valve assembly to prevent fluid from flowing out the outlet end of the valve body.

    摘要: A multi-channel valve having a valve seat, a valve seal, and valve seal housing. The assembly of the apparatus creates a plurality of inlet, exit, and cross channels enclosed by elastomeric portions of a valve seal. The elastomeric portions of the valve seal create bounded distensible chambers. Pressure exerted by a fluid in excess of the cracking pressure of the seal tends to distend portions of the elastomeric seal and allow flow through and into the chambers. When inflow pressure falls, the elastic rebound of the elastomeric portions of the seal tends to expel fluid from the valve without backflow. Cross channel capacity allows mixing of the fluids. The plurality of, and differentials between, chambers allows one fluid to completely purge the valve of other fluids. The valve may be configured with additional backflow prevention capacities, such as channel variations, secondary elastomeric members, and variations in primary membrane properties.

    摘要: A cartridge insert for insertion in a fluid line is provided having a cartridge housing within which is located at least one backflow inhibitor and downstream at least one flow regulator. The backflow inhibitor has a closing element, which, in a closed position thereof, lies tightly sealed on a valve seat of the cartridge housing and which may be displaced from the closed position against a return force into an open position. A downstream guide pin projects from the closing element, and extends into a guide opening of a central regulator core of the flow regulator, and the flow regulator is formed from a regulator element made from an elastic material that surrounds the regulator core, which rests on an annular shoulder and defines a control gap, which changes with pressure between the above and an opposing enclosing wall. The cartridge insert is compact and space saving in that the flow regulator terminates generally flush with the downstream side of the cartridge and the annular shoulder projects from the regulator core and the control gap is provided between the regulating element and an inside of the cartridge housing which forms the enclosing wall.

    摘要: In a pressure maintenance valve for pneumatic apparatus including a valve housing having inlet and outlet passages, a valve member is disposed in the housing and includes a membrane having at one side thereof an annular valve structure disposed opposite an annular valve seat which divides the space adjacent the membrane into inner and outer concentric chambers when the valve structure is seated on the valve seat. A valve spring is disposed at the other side of the membrane for biasing the membrane into engagement with the valve seat. One of the concentric chambers is in communication with the inlet passage and the other with the outlet passage, whereby the membrane is held in an open valve position as long as the pressure in the inlet and outlet passages is greater than a certain value but the membrane closes the valve to maintain the predetermined pressure in the outlet passage when the pressure falls below that certain value. The membrane is manufactured in the shape, which it assumes in its valve opening position.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a metering device for lung-demand valves and includes prepressure compensation. The metering device includes a valve body coacting with a valve seat for metering gas and a compensating piston is arranged between a primary pressure chamber and a secondary pressure chamber for transmitting the compensating force to the valve body. The compensating piston is guided in a compensating housing. The metering device is improved in that the compensating piston is movable without friction and a seal is easily secured. For this purpose, a membrane made of elastic material defines the seal unit. The membrane is tightly held and has a cylindrical side wall which is fixed in the compensating housing. The membrane has regions of reduced wall thickness on the periphery of the side wall and these regions are subdivided into segments or extend as one continuous portion around the periphery. The regions of reduced wall thickness act as a sealing lip.
