    摘要： Disclosed is a twin buckle assembly with dual release positions. More particularly, the invention relates to a buckle assembly that can lockingly secure two buckle tongues. The buckle assembly includes a single, pivotal latch mechanism that can separately secure one or both of the buckle tongues. Pivotal movement of the latch occurs upon rotation of the buckle cover. Thus, one tongue is released at a first rotational position of the cover and both tongues are released at a second rotational position of the cover. The buckle assembly, thereby, allows the independent removal of lap and shoulder belts.

    摘要： An assembly of a buckle mechanism and blade. The buckle mechanism includes a housing surrounding a guide supported by a base. The guide engages a fastening surface of the blade with the lock surface of a projection of the base and has at least one wall defining a void, which is positionable in a first position so that the projection occupies at least a portion of the void and a second position so that the projection is disengaged from the void. The base has a surface and a projection extending away from the surface. A biasing member locates the guide to a first position in which the blade engages the projection and opposes movement of the guide to a second position in which the blade disengages from the projection. The blade is secured to and released from the buckle mechanism by inserting the blade into the guide; engaging the fastening surface of the blade with the lock surface of the projection; moving the fastening surface of the blade by the guide in a first direction substantially oblique to the planar surface to disengage the fastening surface of the blade from the lock surface of the projection; and removing the blade from the guide in a second direction substantially parallel to the planar surface of the base.

    摘要： A buckle device is adapted to retain a tongue plate inserted thereinto by a lock plate. The lock plate is supported by a leaf spring member and biased in a direction in which it is engaged with the tongue plate. The leaf spring member is integrally formed with an ejector which biases the inserted tongue plate counter to a direction in which it is inserted into the buckle device. Accordingly, the buckle device is readily assembled, and the number of required parts is reduced.

    摘要： A seat belt device including a buckle receiving an apertured tongue. A cover is pivotally mounted to the buckle frame and is engageable with a pawl to pivot the pawl to and from an apertured tongue releaseably secured within the buckle. An emergency release bar attached to the pawl extends rearwardly beneath the cover and is pivotable to force the pawl away from the frame releasing the apertured tongue. A roller bar on the buckle frame and/or the apertured tongue is slidable within a pair of slots at one end of which is located a seat belt stop. A second pair of side slots opens into the main slots releaseably holding the roller bar in a position to secure the seat belt against the stop preventing relative motion therebetween.
