    摘要： Disclosed herein is a metal frame having at least one wheel attached in a way that permits the frame to be moved from one location to another. Attached to said frame is a chain saw that can be used in more than one cutting position using remote controls attached to the metal frame and controlled by the operator. The operator controls the saw's cutting position either vertically or horizontally with a tension rope that moves the saw to the desired cutting position. The saw's throttle is controlled by a flexible cable attached to a throttle assembly at the saw and a handle attached to the right side of the metal frame allowing the operator to control the cutting speed of the chain saw from high rpm to idle speed.

    摘要： A band saw machine which comprises a generally elongated frame structure including an endless band saw trained between and adapted to travel over a pair of spaced guide wheels and having cutting and return reaches therebetween, a positioning mechanism for fixedly supporting a stock to be cut, and a rocking mechanism including a pair of spaced reciprocating drives for rocking the endless band saw through a predetermined angle in the opposite directions generally about the stock to be cut, with the opposite ends of the frame structure alternately upwardly and downwardly shifted. The frame structure is supported for movement relative to the positioning mechanism between inoperative and cutting positions in a direction generally perpendicular to the stock. The rocking mechanism is operable at least during the cutting operation performed by the cutting reach of the endless band saw.

    摘要： An underwater apparatus for servicing subsea pipelines provides a telescoping frame which can be lowered to the vicinity of the pipeline. The frame has an open section so that it can straddle the pipeline and outer jacket and fixate itself releasably so that it can be selectively repositioned. A cutting apparatus is secured to a telescoping sub frame. The cutting structure can be rotated about the longitudinal axis of the sub frame, as well as advanced along the direction of the longitudinal axis of the frame due to the telescoping feature of the sub frame. The cutting structure can also be moved pivotally about an axis of rotation which is outside and generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pipe. Thus, combining the telescoping feature with the pivoting feature and the feature of being able to rotate about the longitudinal axis, a variety of different cuts can be made. The principal advantage of the apparatus is to be able to cut through an outer jacket of a jacketed pipeline transversely and longitudinally to remove it in pieces without cutting through the pipeline.

    摘要： A band saw machine is provided with a cutting head that carries the endless saw blade. The cutting head can be swung from a vertical cutting plane into a horizontal cutting plane. Limits can be made in the feeding stroke of the cut and the return travel. A workpiece feeding and clamping vice is rotated about a horizontal axis. The combined positioning capability of the band saw blade and the workpiece vice allows difficult compound angular cuts to be made in the workpiece. The endless run of the blade is angled upwardly and outwardly away from the workpiece to provide additional clearance for cutting deep workpieces. Powered feed rolls advance the workpiece against a gauging stop to determine a predetermined length to be cut. The vice is then closed to hold the workpiece during cutting. Supplemental supports hold the rearward end of the workpiece during feeding and cutting. Blade guides are spaced for accomodating both small and large width blades.

    摘要： Apparatus for sawing which can be used either in portable, manually operated form, or as a stationary bench-mounted sawing device for sawing through a workpiece along predetermined angles of cut. The apparatus comprises a portable chain saw which includes a prime mover secured to one side of a flat mounting plate. A saw blade guide plate projects from the prime mover through a slot provided in the mounting plate, and in a plane substantially normal to the plane of the mounting plate. A saw blade is extended around, and guided by, the guide plate, and is protected by guard means pivotally mounted on the mounting plate. A cradle frame structure releasably receives and clamps the mounting plate in a table sawing position when the chain saw is to be so used. A cradle frame pedestal pivotally supports the cradle frame structure for pivotation about a horizontal axis. A pivotally supported turntable is positioned beneath and supports the pedestal, with the turntable and associated pedestal being pivotable about a vertical axis. A workpiece-supporting table is positioned adjacent the cradle frame structure, pedestal and turntable, and has a substantially horizontal working surface located below the guide plate of the chain saw.
