摘要： Apparatus for use in controlling vertical movement of a first weight, comprises a first element rotatable in one direction about an axis and blocked against rotation in the opposite rotary direction; a second element acting as a guide; a control weight; and lines supporting the first weight and control weight by the elements, and including a first line wrapping about the first element and a second line entraining the second element, whereby changes in force exertion on the control weight determine alternative existence of a first mode of operation wherein line slippage relative to the first element allows the first weight to descend, and a second mode of operation wherein line non-slippage relative to the first element thereby blocks descending of the first weight. In addition, the control weight is usable to exert force acting to remove slack from the second line, which is important for safety reasons, where the apparatus is used for climbing. Governor, hoist and other safety elements may be employed. A climbing pole is also provided for use in climbing in conjunction with operation of the elements, control weight and lines.

摘要： A personal fall protection system for securing a worker to an elevated and exposed structure defining a work area is disclosed. The fall protection system includes a safety belt supported on the worker's body with a body harness. The safety belt includes two belt couplings movable in a channel around the belt, each adapted to be attached to a lanyard. Two spaced apart rails are mounted adjacent opposite side limits of the structure. A movable anchor for securing the end of a lanyard is mounted to each rail. A lanyard ties off the worker at each belt coupling to an anchor. The fall protection system thereby secures the worker to both sides of the structure while allowing the worker to rotate relative to the lanyards within the work area and move freely forward and backwards throughout the work area between the rails.

摘要： A child walking harness made of flexible material comprising a front and rear body panel which are connected through the legs of the child at the crotch portion. The front and rear body panels are provided panel extensions that connect to each other by means of hook and loop fasteners attached to each end thereof. The upper portion of the body panels are provided with shoulder straps which are fitted with releasable securing devices which lock together over the child's shoulder. The rear body panel straps are looped together and fed through a flexible rear adjustment plate which allows the two upper straps to make adjustments to the size of the child and forms a hand-hold at the upper end to support the child while the child is balancing itself to walk and give comfort and safety to the child and relief of back stress to the parent. The adjustment plate provides a separation of the holding straps to prevent closure of the straps around the child's head and neck. The adjustment plate is also provided with an aperture to allow a leash to be attached to it to control the movement of the child after the child is more advanced in walking.

摘要： The safety harness assembly has a body harness securable on the user's torso. Shoulder straps of the body harness are provided with non-stretchable sleeves enclosing an insert with limited stretching capabilities that provide shock-absorption during an accidental fall. The length of the sleeve is greater than that of the insert in a normal, non-stretched mode. If the user falls, the insert stretches to the maximum length of the enclosing sleeve, distributing forces to the leg and breast straps of the harness. The shoulder straps slide through a floating O-ring and are fixedly secured to a D-ring in the back of the harness. A lanyard with limited stretching capabilities is fixedly secure to the O-ring and the D-ring. The three-point safety shock-absorbing harness allows retaining the user in a vertical position during an accidental fall.
