摘要: An adapter for a fire extinguisher includes a cylinder which has an internal volume for storage of an extinguishing agent and a neck through which the internal volume may be accessed, a release valve, and a dip tube. The adapter defines a first flow path through the adapter for the extinguishing agent during introduction or charging of the extinguishing agent into the internal volume of the cylinder. The adapter at least partially defines or accommodates a second flow path for the extinguishing agent through the adapter during discharging of the fire extinguisher of which the adapter is part. The first and second flow paths are different.

The handle assembly includes a handle and a resilient bumper. The handle includes a grasping portion for grasping with a user's hand and a connection portion. The connection portion defines a gap configured to receive and attach to a lug of the cylinder. The handle includes a free end located opposite the connection portion. The resilient bumper is positioned within an opening of the lug. The resilient bumper is positioned between the handle and the lug of the cylinder and is configured to absorb vibration and limit movement of the free end relative to the cylinder.

摘要: Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified inspection and maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

摘要: The present invention provides a fire extinguishing apparatus being inexpensive in manufacturing cost, easy to handle, and it enables a storage tank to be refilled with fire extinguishing sand during a fire extinguishing. A fire extinguishing apparatus of the present invention includes a sand container having fire extinguishing sand a nitrogen gas cylinder, and an ejector provided nitrogen gas taken out via a decompression valve from the nitrogen gas cylinder. The ejector is connected to a suction tube sucking the fire extinguishing sand from the sand container using negative pressure generated by a nitrogen gas stream and a delivery tube delivering the sucked fire extinguishing sand and the nitrogen gas. The sand container has a lid plate provided with a sand inlet enabling opening and closing, which enables the sand container to be refilled with the fire extinguishing sand during a fire extinguishing.

摘要: The discharge apparatus is used in conjunction with a fire suppression system and includes a plurality of gas cartridges communicating with one or more fire extinguishing tanks. The discharge apparatus includes a first cylinder-piston device which upon activation punctures a diaphragm of a gas cartridge. Gas released from the first gas cartridge pressurizes a related fire extinguishing tanks to cause extinguishing chemicals to be discharged. A small portion of the gas released from the first gas cartridge is responsible for the activation of a second cylinder-piston device associated with a second gas cartridge to cause the release of gas. The gas released from the second gas cartridge pressurizes a related fire extinguishing tank to cause extinguishing chemical to be discharged.

摘要: A fire extinguisher includes a barrel having a chamber with an opening covered by an upper cover that includes a guide-out passage having a tubular portion with a guide-in groove and an inlet. A guide-out groove is defined above a sealing edge and extends to the outside. A gas inlet unit is mounted to the upper cover and is connected to a high pressure steel bottle. A high pressure gas in the high pressure steel bottle can flow through a gas inlet passage into the chamber. A guide-out unit includes a guiding tube unit connected to the tubular portion and a valve connected to the guiding tube unit. The valve is opened when subjected to a pressure from the high pressure steel bottle. A piston valve normally and sealingly abutting a sealing edge of the tubular portion can be moved to a position in sealing contact with the sealing edge.

摘要: The fire extinguisher includes a container filled with a fire extinguishing liquid and having a normally closed main outlet and support structure extending through an opening of the container wall. A compressed gas cartridge located in the container is supported by the support structure. The support structure has an opening formed therethrough which leads to the end of the compressed gas cartridge. A plunger, an explosive charge, and a heat sensitive fuse, the latter of which has a portion is exposed to the exterior of the container, are located in the opening of the support structure. In the presence of high temperature, the fuse causes the explosive charge to explode and force the plunger to rupture the cartridge which release the gas into the liquid in the container by way of a normally closed gas outlet formed through the wall of the support structure. This causes the liquid to be forced out of the container by way of the normally closed main outlet. In another embodiment, the fire extinguishing material in the container may be a powder.
