摘要： An electrostatic powder coating system that comprises a booth, the lower part of which is designed in the shape of a V, and a collecting channel (13), connected to a suction device (2) underneath, the booth having two ends, each of which has a pass-through opening for the workpieces. The collecting channel (13) is covered by floor plates (17), which can be walked upon or swung up into a vertical position, and which are provided with exhaust slots (18, 19, 20) extending in the longitudinal and transverse directions, it being advantageous for the total area of the slots be a function of the discharge of exhaust air and the velocity of the exhaust air. The floor plates, which can be swung upward, improve the ability of the booth to be walked on and thus increase the ease with which the system can be serviced and operated. As a result of the way in which the exhaust slots are arranged, the powder residues can be extracted more homogeneously and uniformly and thus in optimum fashion over the entire length of the booth.

An air intake is disposed in the ceiling, and an exhaust outlet is disposed near the bottom end of one the walls. A circulation system is used to introduce air into the interior through the intake and to exhaust air through the outlet. Further, the air intake is configured to produce a airflow gradient within the interior such that the flow rate decreases in a direction toward the outlet and such that the airflow through the interior is in a generally downward direction.

An inlet pipe is fluidly coupled to the delivery pipe and extends through one of the lateral side walls. A pump is fluidly coupled to a container for pumping paint out of the container. The pump is in communication with the delivery pipe.

摘要： A wall for the booth of a coating plant is formed in the conventional manner by a sectional frame (3) composed of at least two vertical, hollow posts (4, 5) and at least two horizontal, hollow crosspieces (6, 7, 8, 9). At least one zone (10, 11, 12) which is bounded by two posts (4, 5) and two crosspieces (6, 7, 8, 9) is covered by a plate (34, 35). The corresponding plate (34, 35) is secured over the associated zone (10, 11, 12) of the frame (3) with the aid of “local” blocking devices (15 to 27) separated from one another spatially. Each of these blocking devices (15 to 27) comprises at least one retaining portion (31b, 31c) which can be inserted in a corresponding locating opening (28a, 28b, 29a, 29b) in the associated post (4, 5) or crosspiece (6, 7, 8, 9) such that a contact portion (31a) of the blocking device (15 to 27) lies against the outside of the associated post (4, 5) or crosspiece (6, 7, 8, 9). The plates (34, 35) are supported “locally” at these contact portions (31a) and are held in place in the lateral direction by a sectional frame (38) secured in a removable manner to the corresponding post (4, 5) or crosspiece (6, 7, 8, 9).

摘要： A powder spray booth (2) with a powder recovery system having an overspray intake (18) communicating with the interior of the booth. A vertically extending duct (20) leads from the overspray intake to a powder recovery system such as, for example, a cyclone. The vertically extending duct may have doors (32) opening to the interior of the booth to provide access to the vertical duct for cleaning. The doors may have holes (120) to aspirate air from the booth interior to optimize air flow patterns within the booth. A diverter plate (26) within the booth (2) defines with the booth floor (10) a floor duct leading to the overspray intake (18). The diverter plate has apertures for allowing oversprayed powder to be collected through the plate. The diverter plate may be provided as two or more diverter plates held at different elevation levels within the booth to define a floor duct which is larger in parts of the floor duct which are closer to the overspray intake than parts of the floor duct which are farther from the overspray intake. The coating system may include an air assist which provides jets of air across a portion of the interior surface of the booth. The surface may be one or more sloped portions (22) of the floor and/or one or more portions of the diverter plate. The air supply may be pulsed to produce periodic bursts of air across the interior surface.
