A system for injecting a fluid spray into a wind machine-generated airstream is provided. The system includes a wind machine that is rotatably mounted upon a central tower. The wind machine is a conventional type, generating the air stream by the rotation of a propeller. The air stream can be directed toward a target, such as an orchard, vineyard or crop for cooling, humidifying, heating or the dispersal of agricultural chemicals. The present invention can be utilized for dust control. A nozzle array is mounted proximate to and preferably onto the wind machine, downstream of the air flow. The nozzle array includes at least a nozzle wand with a base end and a nozzle end. The base end attaches to the wind machine and each nozzle end has a nozzle. The nozzle injects the fluid into the air stream, behind and away from the rear of the wind machine. A rotatable manifold distributes the fluid to the nozzle array through the fluid outlet. The manifold is ring shaped and circumferentially mounted on the central tower.

The apparatus includes a reservoir having an interior adapted to contain a fluid, an electric generator adapted to generate electric power from the rotation of the wheel, and an electric pump powered by the electric generator and adapted to pressurize the interior of the reservoir by a flow of air from the pump through an air tube and into the reservoir. Pressurized fluid is conveyed from the reservoir through a first tube to a fluid valve adapted to block or pass the pressurized fluid. With the valve in an open position, fluid is further conveyed through a second fluid tube to a spray nozzle adapted to provide a stream of fluid to the rider of the cycling device.

A fluid distribution system is especially useful in agricultural apparatus for delivering liquid agricultural chemicals to agricultural fields. The system includes a flow divider with a cylindrical stator with a ring of collection chambers around the bottom of the stator and a rotor having a flow passage from the center of the top end to the bottom end above the ring of collection chambers. The flow dividers may be cascaded to provide multiple outlets. The system may include plural liquid supplies and a mixer for mixing the liquids from the plural supplies to provide a desired blend upstream of the flow divider. It is preferred that the flow of each liquid can be varied to vary the blend. The system may also include a control that varies the blend according to requirements as distribution proceeds. This may include a recorded mapping of a field being treated and a position sensor, for example a global position sensor (GPS) for monitoring the position of the apparatus in the field. The liquid blend is then controlled according to the requirements of the field position.

An economical and compact air handler specially configured for use in agricultural applications is provided. The agricultural air handler includes a shroud formed to surround a rotating shaft having a propeller attached to each end of the shaft. The propellers draw air through an air inlet located proximate the top of the shroud. Each propeller blows the air out of an end of the shroud. A shaft drive rotates the shaft. The shaft drive can be powered by a source outside the shroud, or a source contained within the shroud. The power source can include a hydraulic pump driven by the power take-off of a tractor. An air stream is blown from the shroud. The air stream is directed in an approximately vertically planar flow pattern to remove water ponded within the stem cup of a agricultural crop, such as cherries. The air handler can be used as a freeze protecting heat exchanger or for the application of liquid or dust formulations of agri-chemicals. The agricultural air handling device can also be utilized for atmosphere modification of an enclosed area containing a crop or orchard.
