摘要: An apparatus and control method for feeding medications in which processing units, which can prepare drugs, non-drug articles and drug-related articles, are provided along a carrier feed line, and in which carriers for respective patients are fed on the feed line in the order in which preparations for carriers, preparations for medications, and preparation for receiving carriers are all finished so that a large amount of medications can be collected and delivered by carts to a plurality of wards in a hospital with high efficiency. When patient data is entered in a host computer, at least one of the processing units corresponding to this data is activated to prepare medications. When preparations in all of the processing units, tray feed units, and tray receiving unit have been made, a corresponding tray is fed on the conveyor to collect medications and is then loaded into a predetermined one of a plurality of carts.

摘要: A test control system for controlling overall test procedures which processes test data generated from the final test process and analyzes bin category results. The control system uses testers for testing electrical characteristics of IC devices, a host computer for processing data transmitted from the testers and for creating a number of database structures, and distributed computers for monitoring the test progress and analyzing the test results using the database structures stored in the host computer. A control method using the control system includes the steps of: performing a final test as a lot; monitoring the status of the final test progress while storing test data during the final test; determining if the final test is completed; performing a lot decision after the final test is completed based on bin category limits; and displaying the lot decision result and storing the test data. The lot decision is based upon any bin category having a bin capacity exceeding its bin category limit by greater than a certain predetermined value even though the lot meets the yield requirement. As a result, the control system can detect an abnormal lot more easily than a system in which the lot decision is based only on yield.

摘要: A data cartridge caddy presence sensing system within an autochanger storage rack is disclosed. The data cartridge caddy of the present invention has at least one optical interrupt flag at a predetermined position on the data cartridge caddy. When the data cartridge caddy is fully installed within the autochanger storage rack, the optical interrupt flag lines-up with and trips optical interrupt flags on the autochanger storage rack. The picker of the autochanger will not attempt to remove data cartridges from caddy positions that are empty. The present invention may also include optical interrupt flags and sensors on the data cartridges and corresponding optical interrupt sensors at corresponding predetermined locations on the autochanger storage rack or a bar-code reader and bar-code labels on the data cartridges. In such an embodiment, the autochanger picker will not attempt to remove data cartridges that are known to not be present within the data cartridge caddy and will not attempt to install a data cartridge in a slot in the data cartridge caddy that already has a data cartridge in it.

摘要: A moveable label printer-applicator/conveyor loader assembly for loading articles onto a conveyor comprises a frame mounted for movement along a conveyor path and a controller. The controller receives data from a host computer which specifies an article to be selected and actuates a drive motor to move the assembly to the selected bin location. The quantity of articles to be picked is displayed to an operator via a CRT display. Sensors detect the profile of articles loaded onto the conveyor and transmit this data to the controller. After the controller verifies that the correct article has been selected, a labeler prints and applies a label to each article.

摘要: An automated material handling picking system including a plurality of storage locations for objects which are to be picked, a moveable picking head for picking the objects from the storage locations, a moving conveyor including a plurality of receiving locations where the picked objects are to be consolidated into separate orders or sub-sets, and a bank of queue stations for temporarily holding the picked objects and selectively releasing them into the respective receiving locations where the sub-sets are to be consolidated. The picking head deposits a picked object into the nearest available queue station. The picking head is not involved in the consolidation of the objects into sub-sets because of the buffering effect of the queue stations. Preferably, only one object at a time is held in each queue. The release of the objects from the queue stations is coordinated so that all of the objects for a particular sub-set are released by the respective queue stations into one receiving location on the moving conveyor. The picking sequence is preferably based on the proximity of the object to the picking head, rather than on the object's inclusion in any particular sub-set. The normally more efficient proximity based picking sequence is made possible by the buffering effect of the queue stations.

摘要: Plasma process control arrangement controls a plasma generator that provides electrical power to a plasma chamber for an RF or DC plasma process. A sensor system detects operating parameters of the electrical power, including voltage and current levels. A process detection system (pds) controller has inputs coupled to the sensor system to receive the operating parameters, a programmable memory unit for storing a control program to compute an output control signal based on the operating parameters, and a control output coupled to a control input of the plasma generator. An external computer device, includes a monitor, an icon copying device for example, a mouse suitable for drag-and-drop operation, and a memory storing a suitable code-building program for generating a user-selected control program according to user-determined process requirements. Respective graphical icons are presented on the monitor and are selected and connected by use of the icon copying device to represent logic processing of the operational parameters, and the external computer device creates the corresponding user-selected control program. The user-selected control program is downloaded from the external computer device to the programmable memory of the pds controller, e.g., using standard connectors and cables.
