    摘要: A calender roll wherein a hollow rotary cylindrical shell surrounds a stationary carrier and the latter supports a set of hydraulic cylinder and piston units serving to urge the external surface of a bearing element toward the internal surface of the shell. The external surface of the bearing element is formed with liquid-filled pockets each of which communicates with the cylinder chamber of a pressure generating unit. The cylinder chambers receive pressurized liquid from a pump via first conduits whose resistance to the flow of liquid is more pronounced than that of second conduits which directly connect the cylinder chambers with one or more hydropneumatic accumulators.

    摘要: An arrangement containing a controlled deflection roll which is supported by means of support or pressure elements against a roll support or beam. There is also provided a regulation arrangement for regulating the position of the roll shell, wherein the position of the roll shell at least at both of its opposed ends is detected by position sensors or feelers and deviations from a set or reference value are processed into two adjustment or positioning magnitudes which act upon the support or pressure elements. Both of the adjustment magnitudes are formed while taking into account a possible difference between both of the reference value-actual value differences and thereafter weighted and grouped together with further adjustment magnitudes and inputted to the support or pressure elements.

    摘要: A rolling device or mill having a controlled deflection roll possessing a fixed support and a radially movable roll shell rotatable about the fixed support. Between the roll shell and the material to be rolled there is located an intermediate roll having journals supported at the framework by means of pressure sensors or feelers. The contact force of the controlled deflection roll is regulated such that the journals of the intermediate roll are load relieved. There is thus formed a compensation between the contact force of the roll and the reaction force of the material. The support of the journals in the framework can be adjusted in dependency upon the measurement of the thickness of the rolled material.

    摘要: In rolling metal foils, such as aluminum foils, especially very thin foils in the range down to 10 .mu.m, an improved uniformity of the foil thickness over the width of the foil sheet and, simultaneously, greater rolling speeds of the foil sheet are obtained by operating the rolling apparatus at a working point of the rolling force/material-working or line force/deformation characteristic curve which lies below the saturation region in which, while the material-working or deformation is nearly independent of the rolling or line force, the rolling or pulling speed is determined by other parameters and can not be varied. The thickness variations occurring under this selection of the working point and due to variations in the rolling or line force over the width of the rolls are compensated by regulating the rolling or line force such that the thickness reduction is constant over the width of the sheet or has a desired profile of variation. This can be obtained by, for instance, constructing one or more of the rolls as a controlled deflection roll provided with a series of pressure or support elements having regulatable pressing forces distributed over the width of the roll.

Position feelers or sensors are arranged at the ends of the roll shell. These position feelers control regulators operatively associated with pressure or support elements located between the roll support and the roll shell, as a function of deviations from a predetermined reference or set position, in a manner such that the roll shell is maintained in the reference or set position. It is possible to influence the pressure or support elements by the position feelers either equally or unequally, and specifically, with decreasing intensity in the presence of increasing distance from the related position feeler.
