Abstract: An ultrasonic horn reduces the likelihood of damaging a plurality of stacked sheets of metal foil when the stacked sheets and a metal member are ultrasonically bonded by applying ultrasonic vibration to the stacked sheets. An ultrasonic horn is used for ultrasonically bonding a plurality of stacked sheets of negative electrode foil and a negative electrode collector plate by applying ultrasonic vibration to the stacked sheets of negative electrode foil. The horn includes a horn body, a first protrusion having a first surface that is a curved surface and protruding from an opposing surface of the horn body facing the anvil toward the anvil, and a second protrusion provided at a center of the first surface of the first protrusion and protruding toward the anvil. The second protrusion includes an end surface that is a planar surface and a second surface connecting the end surface and the first surface.

Abstract: A tank including at least first and second portions connected by a connection ring and weld seams obtained by means of a friction welding method. The connection ring includes at least a first cylindrical portion fitted in the end of the first portion, at least a first shoulder protruding toward the outer zone of the tank relative to the first cylindrical portion and at least a first transverse web positioned approximately in the same transverse plane as the first shoulder. According to this configuration, the first cylindrical portion and the transverse web ensure that the forces generated by a friction welding head during the production of the weld seam which enables the tank to be closed are absorbed.

Abstract: An ultrasonic welding apparatus includes a housing; a horn part coupled to the housing and configured to transmit an ultrasonic wave in one direction; a tip part coupled to the horn part and configured to apply the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the horn part to an object to be welded, and to apply the ultrasonic wave at an angle of 80° or greater and 100° or less with respect to a direction in which the horn part transmits the ultrasonic wave; an anvil part configured to support the object to be welded; and a suction connected to the anvil part and configured to suck a foreign matter generated resulting from ultrasonic welding, in which the tip part is configured to be driven by linear vibration with respect to the object to be welded, and achieves the effects of easily removing foreign matter and improving welding quality.
