    摘要： A two-axis rotational thermoplastic molding apparatus is described with a U-shaped major axis arm, a circular frame formed at the open end of the major axis, and a minor axis frame mounted to the circular frame, wherein the circular frame comprises a plurality of three-sided wheel blocks comprising bearings for rotating the minor axis frame within the major axis arm. The circular frame also comprises a plurality of mounting plates enabling mold containers of varying sizes to be mounted within the minor axis frame using a corresponding frame without fully disassembling the molding apparatus. The major axis arm is mounted atop a lower frame which acts as a skid to convey the molding apparatus into and out of an oven, where the simultaneous rotation along two axes enables thermoplastic material to form according to the interior of mold container when the apparatus is under heat.

    摘要： Devices and methods are disclosed for the centrifugal casting of spheres, particularly hollow spheres containing low air pressure. Molten or self-hardening casting material is introduced into a hollow spherical mold and the mold made to rotate about two axes intersecting at the center of the mold. The resulting centrifugal forces cause the casting material to be evenly distributed about the inner surface of the mold. The casting material is hardened and the resulting sphere is removed from the mold. One or more valves may be employed to transport fluent materials into and out of the mold. If gas is removed from a partially-filled mold prior to casting, the product will be a hollow sphere having an interior pressure less than ambient. Spheres made according to the present invention have a wide range of uses including insulation and bearing balls.

    摘要： A process for the production of polyolefin hollow articles comprises charging the polyolefin with a stabilizer combination comprising (a) at least one compound from the group of the organic phosphites or phosphonites, (b) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of i.) hydroxylamine derivatives and ii.) amine oxide derivatives and (c) at least one compound from the group of the hindered amine stabilizers, filling this mixture into a mold, heating this mold in an oven to above 280° C., such that the stabilized polyolefin fuses, rotating the mold around at least 2 axes, the plastic spreading to the walls, and cooling the mold while still rotating, opening it and taking the resultant hollow article out.
